Mod-pack Long War Dynamic Epic
About This Mod
Attempt to create the perfect gameplay of x-com / UFO defence by changing many variables and combining several modes. The goal is to improve the gameplay and make Long War's dynamic combat experience more diverse and less "game-like". It's not a graphic mod.
A new game is required.
Second wave options are required for the new game: Dynamic Combat (required), Total Loss, Aiming Angles, Red fog.
Do not use in combination with other major modifications such as LWR or Long War 1.1.
Brief changes/functions/summary
Decreased fatigue time of soldiers (1-3 days). Alien exploration bonus for regular aliens is slightly reduced. Enabled virtual reality learning; Alien exploration bonus for EXALT reduced to near zero.
The weapon balance is slightly adjusted; most weapons now have the same or at least the same overall DPS as in vanilla long game. High-tech weapons in general have become slightly more powerful. The guns became slightly cheaper; MECS and SHIVS were slightly improved. Basic Changes A high-speed weapon deals less damage, but its scope increases at the speed of rotation, and its critical value increases at the speed of rotation and caliber. Examples include the Minigun, SAW, and LMG series.
A marathon value of 0.5 shortens the duration of the campaign. A smoother curve of difficulty, but easier at the beginning, harder in the middle, and the end of the campaign depends on how well you are doing in the beginning/middle of the campaign.
Changes in grenades. Grenades now have a shorter throw range; AP grenades are lighter and have a longer throw range. Note: Grenade advantage will be available earlier,
