HUD Compass.

Hey, where's my boat? Never lose sight of your boat, car or portal again. Compass overlay with compass and map with standard pins and dynamic map marks for boats, cars, active and inactive portals.


HUD Compass offers a complete location assistance experience, combining and expanding the functionality of the immersive compass and automatic map markers (see credits below).


The scale-out compass is displayed at the top of the screen.

The compass can be switched on and off in the game.

Dynamic tags (ships, vehicles and portals) appear on the compass and map with or without tags.

Special ships and cars are supported.

Active and inactive portals can have different colors.

The portal icons show the name you gave them.

Ship labels can indicate the type of ship (hollow, high, raft) or a special ship.

You can include/exclude pin types.

The size of the label depends on the distance to the marker with custom constraints.

Fixed problem with wildcards at the end of strings.

Configuration


A - HUD Compass


Enable Compass: Enable or disable the HUD.@ compass.

Show compass: Show/hide HUD compass. Use the Change Compass key to change it in the game.

Toggle Compass: Toggle Compass.



B - Show Compass


Use Player Orientation: Displays the compass in the direction in which the player is located, rather than in the center of the screen.

Compass Scale: Sets the total scale of the compass on the screen.

Offset (Y): Specifies the offset in pixels from the top of the screen.

Distance (min): the minimum distance from the needle to be displayed on the compass screen.

Distance (max): The maximum distance from the needle to be displayed on the compass.

Show My Player Pin: Cancels Show My Player Pin if PlayerChoice.@ does not specify whether the player's pin will appear on the compass and map.

Show Player Pin: Shows or hides the player icon (multiplayer) on the compass when playing on a map where visibility settings are unavailable Player Pin Behaviour If not set to PlayerChoice, the server will be overwritten by PlayerChoice.

Pin Scale Sets the total scale of the pins on the screen.

Minimum pin size: Increases or decreases the scale of the farthest visible pin.

Show center mark: (Optional) Shows the graphic of the center mark.



C - Ignore.



(Point names: comma separated, no spaces) Ignore location points with these names. An asterisk () at the end of a string indicates a prefix.

Pin Type: Ignore location pins of this type (comma separated, no spaces). Types include: Fire,House,Pin,Portal,Start,Haldir,Hildir,Death,Bed,Shout,Boss,Player,RandomEvent,Ping,EventArea.@.



E - Compass color.


Compass Color: (Optional) Sets the base color of the compass.

Pin Color: (Optional) Sets the color of the compass position pin.

Center mark color: (Optional) Sets the color of the graphic center mark.



F - Dynamic pins.


Displays dynamic pins on the map: pins of ships, cars and portals on the main and mini-map. They can be managed separately below.

Player icon refresh interval: The refresh interval (in seconds) for player icons on the map and compass. Decrease the spacing to make the player's icon updates smoother. If the value is zero, they will be updated every frame. Note: The default value for updating player needles in Valheim is 2 seconds. Decreasing this value will result in poor multiplayer performance.



G is the type of speaker.


Show Ships: Shows ships on map and compass. @.

Show Cars: Shows cars on map and compass.

Show Portal: Shows the portal on the map and in the compass.



H - Dynamic name.


Show dynamic names on the map: displays the type of boat or car (e.g. Raft, Karve, Tall Ship) and the name of the portal on the large map.



I - Dynamic map color


Active portals color on the map: the color of portal icons with active connections.

Color of portals: color of portal icons on the map.

Ship color: the color of the ship icons on the map.

Car color: the color of the car badges on the map.

Use Compass Color: The color of the dynamic needles of the compass.



J - Display


Always show: Always show pins of this type or title (comma separated, no spaces) in full size, regardless of distance.



Z - Utility


LogLevel: Adjusts the level of information contained in the log.

Use external image: Compass and dynamic markers use images from the mod folder.



Configuration items that end with '@' are server privileges.


In-game reconfiguration.


You can use Configuration Manager (or similar) mode to change settings without leaving the game. If the configuration file is changed, the configuration is reloaded.
