About This Mod

This mod provides an easy way to install ResoRep 1.7.0 without having to install Java or .jar files. Options for 32-bit and 64-bit games. Separate files for Vortex and manual installation.

All rights to the ResoRep dll file belong to Ray Wing, the original authors from Undertow Club. Ray has not been active in the community for more than 3 years.

What is ResoRep?

In essence, ResoRep is a DLL DirectX 11 file that inserts .dds textures from a specific folder at run time into the memory of the game process. This allows you to change textures, give them original file names, place them in a specified folder, and force the game to load them instead of standard textures.

What games will it work with?:

Theoretically, it can work with any game that uses API DirectX 11. The list of games it works with (and doesn't work with) is given below.

GAME COMPATIBILITY LIST

DISCLAIMER: I did not modify the ResoRep DLLs, so any existing fashion bugs may remain. I can't guarantee that it will work on your system for any game.

Full Vortex for ResoRep games:

These games have full ResoRep support, integrated into the Vortex extension code for the best user experience.

Installation:

For installation instructions, see the readme.txt file in each archive. You can install using Vortex or manually. The purpose of the installation is to place 3 files in the folder containing the game executable file:

d3d11.dll is a ResoRep dll file that instructs the game to use modified textures instead of standard textures.

ori_d3d11.dll is a DLL DirectX 11 system file that needs to be copied from the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\d3d11.dll» system folder. ResoRep requires this file to be in the game folder to work with.

dllsettings.ini—This file stores the settings for the ResoRep dll file. Once installed, this file must be updated with the game folder and executable name (for all games not listed in the list "Full Vortex for ResoRep Games" above).

Vortex:

Download the 32-bit or 64-bit version that matches your Vortex game.

If your game has "Full Vortex for ResoRep support" as mentioned above, just deploy the mods in Vortex and you're done. The extension has written the dllsettings.ini file with the correct values for you and will automatically copy the ori_d3d11.dll file when you deploy the mod.

If your game is not listed, open the Staging folder by right-clicking on the mod in the mod list and selecting "Open in File Manager".

Run the script "copy_d3d11dll_vortex.bat" in the Staging folder to copy the ori_d3d11.dll system file to the Staging folder.

If you are modifying a game that is not included in the "Full Support" list above, you will need to download an additional dllsettings.ini file from this page. Open the file (either in the Staging Folder folder or in the game folder) and edit GAME_FOLDER and EXECUTABLE to match your game.

Deploy fashion in Vortex.

Management:

Download the 32-bit or 64-bit version that matches your game and unzip the archive.

Run the "copy_d3d11dll_manual.bat" script to copy the files to the game folder (d3d11.dll, ori_d3d11.dll, dllsettings.ini). You will be prompted to select the folder where the game is installed. Select the folder where the game executable is located.

Open the "dllsettings.ini" file in the game folder and edit GAME_FOLDER and EXECUTABLE to match your game.

Why do I need this Fashion page?:

The main goal of this mod is to simplify ResoRep support for games with full Vortex support listed above.
