About This Mod

— Finisher and takedown rework (ZKV_Takedowns) from Kvalyr for CP2077

— =========================================================

:: Adds the following capabilities ::

♦ Melee weapon finishers as hidden takedowns (customizable and extensible with new animations from other modes)

♦ Receptions without capture - start capture OR apply techniques from invisibility (see screenshots)

♦ Mantis Blades Finisher: Use aerial takedown animation instead of the usual finisher animation, either 50% of the time, or all the time (see screenshots)

  - The aerial capture animation works surprisingly well from the standing position and may look better and less fancy than the usual "Mantis Blades" finisher.

♦ Melee damage multiplier: The slider in the mod settings menu allows you to control the damage bonus received by V when attacking from invisibility.

♦ Fixed a bug in the base game when adding a 1.5 air Mantis Blades takedown to the victim lost consciousness rather than dying despite being hit in the neck/head.



Configuration ::

♦ Customization UI with "Native Settings UI" appeared.



:: Translations ::

♦ In version 0.4.x built-in support of translation strings is added.

  - Please submit translations as hotfix requests here rather than downloading translated versions: [Link to GitHub]



:: Known issues ::

♦ Lack of suitable capture animations for most weapons.

  - This mod does not add new animations - it simply uses and recycles the animations that are already in the game.

  "Some weapons don't have proper capture animations and mostly use defaulted ones.

  - The new animations added by this mod are just existing animations of the basic game, combined with various results.

♦ Existing problems in CP2077 with T-pose, bad regdollars, unsynchronized animations, etc.

  - Realized in the base game takedowns, finishers, regdolls and synchronized animations and without mods work unstable. Don't expect perfection.

♦ Dull weapons take a deadly turn when Non-lethal Dull is turned on:

  - This should be fixed starting from 0.4.0, but there may still be cases when this happens. If you absolutely need not to kill the target, use the usual capture -> takedown.



:: Future plans ::

♦ More animations (unlikely since I’m not an animator - but if another mod adds new tricks or finishers, this mod can easily use them)

♦ Reduce control and camera lock during finishers and takedowns

♦ Optional speed up some tricks that seem too slow in the midst of battle

♦ Guns XP for killing with weapons

Installation ::

♦ Install manually by unpacking the bin, archive, and r6 folders into the main CP2077 folder. (Drag folders from .zip)

♦ Installing Vortex is not supported. It may or may not work. I don't use Vortex myself, and I can't help you with that.
