About This Mod

Corrects the focus mode sound. Fixed a bug in vanilla code, which caused the focus mode sound (the sound that occurs when Witcher Sense is activated) to not work correctly for some time after the game restart.


Correcting the comment "Place of Force" - Geralt found a place of force and said something like: "Place of Force, you have to draw from it!". Then he walked past the same place of strength five minutes later and... "Place of power, must be!" Now Geralt only comments on the place of strength the first time he discovers it.


Correcting a noisy sailing wheel - as in this fashion


Fixing battle music - as in this fashion (fixing battle music, as it turned out, caused as many problems as it solved, so it was removed from version 1.2)



GAMEPLAY CHANGES


Weather Comments - Most (but not all) of Geralt's comments on the weather have been deleted. In particular, I deleted comments that made Geralt say silly, like "It looks like rain", five minutes after it started to rain... If a particular weather comment did not disturb the dive, I left it. Honestly, you can go through the game and never hear Geralt comment on the weather.


Comments on illusions - Geralt will no longer comment (spoiler) on the illusion before you can detect it. It will only comment on the illusion when you explore it with Witcher Sense. As a side effect, Geralt will only comment on illusions that show the illusion icon when researching with Witcher Sense. This applies to most illusions, but there are several in the game that do not show this icon. He will not comment on them at all.


Increasing the distance of interaction - although some might argue whether this is a technical fix to sound, I put it here, so here, please. This slightly increases the distance Heralt can walk from an NPC or object before prompting for interaction. I have never been able to talk to an NPC on the other side of a rack or table without going straight around on the other side, or bumping into a bar/rack or doing this thing with walking in place. So I increased the interaction hint range from 3.5 to 4.5, and now I can. As a side effect, it also facilitates the looting of hard-to-reach boxes and chests.


Place of Power FX - bright neon sparks, magical sign badge and constant roaring sound effects have been removed. The sound and visual effects that occur when the power site is activated remain. Removed only hidden visual and sound effects. I find it much more exciting.  


However, I understand that some people may prefer vanilla FX. To restore vanilla FX, delete the PlaceofPowerEntity.ws file from the ...\mods\modImmersiveSound\content\scripts\game\gameplay\interactive folder.



SET

Unzip modImmersiveSound and copy it to <game path>\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\mods.


DESTROY

Remove modImmersiveSound from <game path>\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\mods.
