Cleaning up and redesigning UI sound effects
About This Mod
This mod is an attempt to remake the most annoying sound effects of the TW3 user interface. The mod is for my personal use, but I thought some people would like it.
More than 60 sounds have been replaced or deleted.
Replaced because they would tear my ears apart every time I heard them. I tried to do my best to offer softer, more history-friendly sounds.
Removed (replaced by heavenly silence) because the most repetitive of them can become (very) annoying after a while.
2. Installation
Simply extract the contents of the archive to the mods folder of your TW3. If the mods folder does not exist, create it.
3. Compatibility
The mode must be compatible with any mode that does not edit gui.bnk and focus_exploration.bnk. Therefore, it should be compatible with any music mod.
If the contents of other mods do not have the soundspc.cache file, then everything should be fine. If so, try to find out which sound bank has been edited.
4. Additional file
The music in this game can be overwhelming. If, like me, you're tired of her, you can :
- Use my edited version of the excellent fashion Less Is More from Cohgent. I added tweets from pedrohfranco and Paleforce users, which makes it very balanced;
- Decrease the volume of the music to thirty with a small. Surroundings and dialogs will seem much more alive, trust me.
