About This Mod

For some reason, the game's files contain a few clutter blocks for the settlement buildings that never made it into the game itself, despite being fully functional and already set up to connect to other parts. Some of them are really useful for creating more complex buildings - additional door options, an inward angle for sloping walls and some more durable small walls.

This mod adds these unused nets to the game, giving you more opportunities to build your own settlements.

Complete list of items added:

2 Door openings

2 small wall options

1 Wall End Option

1 Flat roof wall option

1 Bridge option

1 Floor option

1 External corner for walls with corner roof

1 Inner corner for walls with corner roof

Upgrade 1.5

7 new parts of the building! I recently learned to add snap points to other grids while working on another project, so I came back to add

there are more unused settlement nets in this fashion. Full list:

3 new externally facing roof angles (including a previously unusable round corner seen on wooden huts)

1 new interior roof angle option

2 new roof variations (one of them is a bit unsuccessful when it comes to placement)

1 new version of wooden handrails

Added compatibility patches for Simple Intersection and Homemaker.

The category "Buildings->Wood->Walls" has been divided into subsections to eliminate the need to view more than 50 items at a time during construction. If you are a fan of the tedious process, a version without categories is available.

Fixed an error where some items did not have a preview or cost resources in the workbench menu.

Before upgrading, it is recommended that you remove all builds created with this mode, or you may experience grid disappearing, which may result in instability. If you're really paranoid, I suggest you delete all the builds, disable the mod, make a new save, and then install the update.

Installation

Extract the esp. file contained in the download to the Fallout 4/Data directory.

Make sure the line "sResourceDataDirsFinal=" in your My Games/Fallout4/Fallout4.ini file includes "MESHES\".

To enable mod, either use the mod manager to select ExplandedSettlementBuildings.esp, or put "bEnableFileSelection=1" under [Launcher] in your Falloutprefs.ini and click the left-hand side of the power armor visor in the official launcher to activate .esp from there.

If you're having trouble, keep in mind that the latest patch for Fallout 4 automatically disables all mods when opening the game's launcher. To work around this, use Mod Manager, such as Mod Organizer (available here) or Nexus Mod Manager, or install the plugins manually in Users/%username/AppData/Fallout4/plugins.txt and set it to read-only.

Compatibility

Compatibility patches are available for Homemaker to include the full length of wooden walls, and for Simple Intersection to add appropriate tags to items added by this mod. Everything else should work fine, including SSEX as far as I know.
