About This Mod

This file changes the lighting and makes the game look clearer.


1. First you should remove the flourishing effect.


To do this, you need to go to the Documents folder -> BioWare -> Dragon Age The Veilguard - > preferences.

There you will find a file named "ProfileOptions_profile".



Open it with a notebook. In the file, look for the line "GstRender.UI_Bloom 1"



and change 1 to 0.


Save your changes.


2. After that you need to download the fashion file and unpack it into the game folder. (If you don't know how to find the game folder, see the instructions at the end of this page.)


3. Download ReShade from the official website.

- Open the installer -> browse to your game in the list and click "Next" (or click "Browse and select your game's .exe file manually") -> select rendering (for example, "DirectX 10/11/12") and click "Next".

- In the window that opens, select "Browse" and find the mod file that you previously checked out to the game root file:


- Click Next. ReShade will install all the necessary effects. Click Finish.


4. Download the game. Click the Home button.

- The ReShade window will open inside the game -> click Next if you are starting it for the first time.

- In the window that opens you will need to select the desired preset file:



He'll download the preset.

How to find the game's root folder if you use steam:

Step 1: Open steam and go to "LIBRARY":


Step 2: Find your game in the list (example BG3):


Step 3: Right-click on it and select "properties...":


Step 4: Click the Installed Files tab:


Step 5: Select Browse...:


The game's root folder opens (the path may be different, depending on which hard drive/ssd the steam library was installed on).
