Intel XeSS v1.3.1 Update - Cyberpunk 2077
About This Mod
This is an updated version of the Intel XeSS Supersampling plugin for Cyberpunk 2077. Digitally signed by Intel and has not been modified.
In version 1.3, XeSS significantly improved performance and image quality, even compared to FSR 2. Now I use XeSS exclusively on my AMD RX 6600 platform, and it has greatly improved my experience. You can learn more about the improvements in this article on Tom's Hardware.
Installation: Simply unpack to the Cyberpunk 2077 game root directory. I tested it in the game and it works great.
Note: If you use the "Download Mod Manager" button for this mod, the Vortex extension for this game completely prevents users from installing dll files into the executable folder. I contacted the fashion author for an extension to try and solve this problem.
You can bypass the Vortex installation restriction by right-clicking on a mod in the mod list (after dragging a zip file into Vortex) and choosing "Unpack (as is)". Note that Vortex will give you a pop-up window when you import a zip file. You can ignore it.
If you install manually, I strongly recommend that you rename the existing "libxess.dll" in the "—/bin/x64" executable folder in case you have a problem with it. You can simply delete this new DLL and restore the original DLL, and everything will be as before. Otherwise, you will need to re-check the game files to restore the original DLL.
This mod will be updated when new versions of XeSS are available.
