About This Mod
Why should I join this MoD? What is the impact of pollution? As everyone knows, public regions benefit enormously from economies of scale. This is especially true for medium-sized and large States with large populations and resources. But there is a price to pay for it. Pollution from intensive production has a significant impact on other negative effects, such as population growth (increased mortality and migration) and lower living standards. Pollution Impact Formula: Pollution Impact = (amount of pollution produced (state territory)) / (DIVISOR_BASE + DIVISOR_ARABLE_LAND_MULT * SQRT(cultivated land (state territory)) /POLLUTION_MAX POLLUTION_TARGET_DIVISOR_DIVISOR_BASE = 50 # pollution base value, dividing the total amount of pollution to calculate the pollution target for the state POLLUTION_TARGET_DIVISOR_ARABLE_POLLUTION_LAND_MULT = 1. 5 # The amount of cultivated land to be added to the pollution divider CHANGE_SPEED_POLLUTION = 0. 255 # Every day of pollution in the state POLLUTION_MAX = 255 SPREAD_NEIGHBOR_TO_= 0. 25 Thus, countries with large arable lands (e.g. China and India) are more affected by industrial pollution than other countries with rare arable lands (e.g. Western countries). The impact appears to be very small (although the overall number of people affected is small).
