About This Mod

Dear fashion designers Feel free to incorporate some or all of the elements of this fashion into your own fashion! Also, if you want to discuss the implementation of optimizations for a particular fashion, I will be happy to help. As for donations, I don’t think fashion deserves donation at the moment: I may be the first to point out these problems, but they are relatively easy to fix and not as revolutionary as those implemented by other modders. Moreover, most of them are included in the basic game, and it would be unfair if the proponents of this fashion paid for them. However, we are very grateful to everyone who has offered donations and promise to work on optimizing DLC content as soon as our financial situation improves. --------------- (June 29) We disabled some mods that were already built into the base game, but kept the dynamic flag disabled by default to improve performance (it is unclear how much the recent settings of the CoA calculation will help compared to the shutdown of all of this (it is unclear how much the recent changes in the CoA calculation will affect compared to the shutdown of all of this). To make short circuits more frequent, a new optimization was implemented that rearranges all potential conditions for all character interactions. Check the update history for details. Again, all the low-hanging fruit for optimization has been eaten, and as a result the modders are quite limited in what game mechanics/engine features are available to implement new and fix old things. I do not have access to DLC (including SoI unfortunately) due to financial constraints; I would gladly look at optimizations for DLC (if any, perhaps) when I get access to them. --------------- (Note: My mod for performance/optimization differs from most other mods in that I believe that optimization should have as little impact on gameplay/game mechanics as possible. I optimize only where you can avoid unnecessary calculations, and where it has little effect on the feeling of the game: the mosaic of small countries in Victoria 3 is still my favorite! Of course, you can combine this mod with other optimization mods related to fewer pop-ups. I cannot guarantee compatibility with large mods, but small mods should work normally. Other mod creators can contact me if they want to include some of the optimizations I've made here in mainstream fashion :) Victoria 3 tends to have serious performance issues by the end of the game that are often (partly correctly) attributed to fragmentation of pop files. Because of this, most mods for optimization and performance focus on reducing the number of pop. However, none of them seem to have investigated the exact cause of the game's performance problems using the built-in scripting profiler. This mod is a personal project to optimize the game based on profiling results. It currently contains two specific modifications. The original script used a very inefficient method that led to unnecessary calculations throughout the game, although in terms of gameplay nothing was gained.
