About This Mod

Rotate the part along any axis and move it in any direction manually using the keyboard.

Description.

Allows you to rotate the part around any axis using modifier keys (default: X Circumference: X Circumference default - left Shift, default Z Circumference - Y Circumference: no modifier keys).

Manual Move

Manually move using the keys: Lock the part you are creating (default: L) and move it using the arrow keys. You can also move a part up and down (default: PgUp and PgDn). Once a part is created, it continues to be in normal docking conditions (you can create a part that hovers in the air, but it will quickly break due to lack of structural support).

Parts can be moved in increments of 1, 0,5, 0,1 or 0,05 meters (default key sequence: no modifier, left Ctrl, left Shift, left Alt). Although the configuration file specifies Small, Smaller, and Smallest, there is no actual need for minimization.

A part sticks to another part if the attachment points are close enough. This may cause the part not to appear to be moving.

Placement of details is based on where the character stands (for nearby craft stations) and where he looks. This allows you to create interesting locations, for example, looking at the surface of the water, manually move the ship and put it on land or on the house (the ship will still need water, and it will not be able to sail far).

Rotation.

By default, parts rotate in place (typically when you place parts using the mouse). However, you can disable this (by default: Left Ctrl + backquote (backquote is the key to the left of 1, it's also the tilde key (~) on the standard American keyboard))), when you move manually, the rotation on the Y axis will rotate around the lock point (the point you fixed by pressing L). It is usually awkward to rotate a part that you can move manually, but for some things it is useful (especially when you need to circle a few parts around a common point).

Mirror part

Projection mode helps you manually move a locked track by projecting it to the ground or a track below the placement mark. No projection switches (default is P) between terrain and track projection (if the track is not under the placement label, it is projected to ground). Track projection is very useful when you want to move something manually, but want to place it along the floor or shelf.

Lock cardans.

The cardan lock can now be disabled (the cardan lock is when the part spins in a certain direction and, depending on how the rotation is calculated, this direction of rotation is no longer available). By default, this feature is disabled (turning off the cardan lock makes the rotation less natural due to the way it is calculated), but it can be easily turned off or on at will.

Copy part rotation and position

Copy the rotation and position of the target part (if the current part is not locked, the position will be immediately changed to match the mouse position as usual). For example, by copying a rotation (copying to an unlocked track), you can arrange a series of chests or flare lines evenly, or save time when aligning turns. (Note: works such as pitched roofs do not rotate, in other words, they do not rotate on normal slopes, so copying from a pitched roof will produce a flat and normally aligned roof.)

Compatibility.

Compatible with ValheimRAFT, the parts are placed on the raft as required, and manual moving works as required (placement is based on what you are aiming for, so you need to view the raft in manual moving mode).

Other notes

Note: The latest version of Jotunn allows you to set in-game configurations through the mode settings menu, which is especially useful for switching between card lock modes. Currently, the latest version of Jotunn seems to require some customization in order for this to work.

If part position and rotation are confused, rotation and position can be reset (they have a backquote by default).

By default, rotation and manual moving work with hammers (and if you have drawing runes in Planbuild), but other tools can be added to the white list of tools in the configuration file (note: manual moving does not work with tools like cultivators that are not supported by Planbuild).

Rotation now supports controllers.

Finally, if you have another mode that works with rotation or manual movement, and you want to use it instead of other parts of this mode, rotation and manual movement can be disabled or enabled separately in the configuration.
