Realistic animal sounds
About This Mod
Some of the animals' original sounds have been altered to more realistic and believable sounds. We have now changed the sounds of deer, boars and now wolves.
**This mod reduces the probability of SFX wolves and deer, making them more realistic-sounding and less annoying animals.
Description.
As an avid enthusiast of nature and wildlife, I was incredibly annoyed by the terrible sounds of animals in this wonderful game. Perhaps these tracks are just artificial, but the sounds of a prehistoric rhino, the speed and tone of which can be changed, as well as the sounds of monsters and zombies personally did not suit me at all. So I decided to use sounds from my personal game development projects. All sounds are recorded wildlife sounds and shrieks.
What can you do with this fashion.
SFX reindeer.
Change the sounds of deer from [mad duck barking] to [real roars and barking used by wild deer]. A third sound is also added to increase the variability, as several deer can sound very strange when they simultaneously release the same randomly chosen track.
The sound of the deer warning has changed from [the sound of the rubber chicken stepped on] to [the actual recording of the warning snorting of the deer]. If you've really heard this before, you'll be surprised. When a deer is wary but does not know who you are, it often snorts loudly and stomps on you before running away.
Change the deer signal from [simultaneous 12-geese horn via jet engine] to [real deer horn].
The probability of a stag SFX on standby has been reduced to 30%, making the stag sounds more irritating and realistic.
SFX boar.
The sounds of inaction, warning, hitting, death, and boar attacks are changed from [quiet, almost absent, monster roars and other extreme monster roars] to [audible roars and shrieks recorded from a true wild Arkansas skinhead boar].
SFX the wolf.
The sounds of inaction, warning, beating, death, and wolf attack are changed from [howling and zombie bites] to [a variety of howls, barks, roars, and squeals].
All wolf cries were taken from live recordings of real wolves. It took a long time to find resources and cut the audio into usable tracks.
Wolf howl was reduced by 50%, and variations of howl and bark were added to mimic the melodies of this vocal creature, but to account for the fact that it is a predator and does not always produce a voice. Hopefully it will also make them less annoying in the gameplay.

There have been requests for more diversity and gender sfx (male pigs grunting, sows screaming, piglets screaming, etc.) This was my original goal, but I have not yet found a way to realize it.
As I play this game, I may realize that other sounds of animals and creatures should also be considered. Maybe I will come back to this fashion later, because in this wonderful game there is still a lot of interesting things.

To use this mod, you must set BepInExPack Valheim and Custom Audio mod as prerequisites.

Known issues.
Wolves sometimes produce howling animations without making any sounds. This is part of the SFX reducing the odds of wolves and works as intended.
Tamed stones share an SFX file with wolves and will be jammed when they are stroked. We're working on a solution.
If you are having problems with Custom Audio Mod constantly checking audio files in the console menu, open the Custom Audio Config file in the BepInEx/Configs folder and set Debug and DumpInfo to =false. To do this, set Debug and DumpInfo to =false.
