About This Mod

A camera for assembly has been added, which simplifies assembly and makes it easier to get the right angle for viewing additional points.

You no longer need to build scaffolding to be able to pass over (i.e., side by side or below) the part you are trying to place. Simply move the build camera to where it should be to see the anchor point.

# How to use.

1. Arm yourself with a hammer,

2. enter the station assembly range (for example, desktop)

3. Activate the construction camera by pressing the B button (default - can be changed in settings), 4.

4. camera 4 will leave your avatar. Look around and navigate normally (for example, with a mouse and keyboard). Use the jump (Space) to move up and the hide (Control) to move down. Hold down the Run (Shift) key to move the camera faster. Controller Users: Use the left and right triggers to move the camera up and down. The right joystick turns the camera. The left joystick moves the camera left/right and back/forward.

5. 5. Build as usual (left click) and choose items to build (right click).

## Other details.

 * This mod changes the distance to the workbench you can build on several times compared to the default value. There have been many requests for this feature.

 * You can remove the construction mode by lifting the hammer or by pressing B or R (keys "hide weapons").

 * Works with hoes and cultivators.

 * The range of the camera can be adjusted using Camera_Range_Multiplier, but the camera must remain within the construction area.

# Configuration.

Run the game with the plugin installed and edit `BepInEx\config\Build Camera.cfg`. It has several configurable options:

 * Distance_Can_Build_From_Avatar.

 * Distance_Can_Build_From_Workbench (Distance to workbench)

 * Disable the build mode hotkey (Toggle_build_mode hotkey)

 * Camera_Move_Speed_Multiplier (Camera Speed Multiplier)

 * Camera distance multiplier (Camera_Range_Multiplier)

 * Move_With_Respect_To_World (Moving with respect to the world)

 * Log output.

# No compatibility.

 * Valheim Plus First Person View mode. Sorry, we don't know how to make them compatible. Both modes take control of the camera.

 * First person mode in the R2ModManager table.

Build Camera is compatible with kailen37's FirstPerson mod from nexusmods.com.

# Other.

This mod should only be installed on the client, not on the server.

# Change log.

 * Version 1.6.

  * Redesigned to update "Hearth and House".

  * Changed the movement up and down of the building camera controller to use the same buttons as the controller jump and squat buttons.

  * Added support for ImprovedHammer from BuildIt fashion.

 * Version 1.5.1.

  * Reduced amount of spam when changing the distance between two builds (LogDebug is now used).

  * Slightly more aggressive change of distance between two buildings: change occurs when the current value is less than the specified.

 * Version 1.5.

  * Modified distances to buildings: "Build distance from avatar" and "Build distance from bench".

  * Changed controller joystick.

 * Version 1.4.

  * The "Hide Equipped Machines/Weapons" hotkey is no longer ignored.

 * Version 1.3.

  * The construction mode can now be used at anchor and tiller.

  * The assembly camera is no longer turned on when the user views the parts selection HUD.

 * Version 1.2.

  * Fixed camera pan (move) speed: mouse wheel does not change scroll speed. The speed of scrolling is roughly equal to the speed of walking. Hold down the Shift key to speed up scrolling. Added configuration settings to change speed.

  * Does not allow the user to look up or down enough to flip the camera.

  * Camera rotation speed takes into account "Invert Mouse" and "Mouse Sensitivity" options.

  * When entering assembly mode, the camera's direction of view is reset to match the player's current direction of view. * Add a custom Move_With_Respect_To_World option: if true, then when you pan the camera (for example, by pressing WASD), the camera will move relative to the world coordinates, not relative to the current camera view direction.

  * The camera will not move while the user is in the menu, chatting, etc.

  * Camera_Range_Multiplier defaults to 1 to get as close to the vanilla experience as possible.

  * There are three reasons why build mode is not enabled when the Verbose_Logging configuration option is set correctly.

 * Version 1.1.

  * Changed the display of not only empty places.

 * Version 1.0.0.

  * Initial release.
