About This Mod

Added various immersive mini-modes, such as hiding the map, hiding enemy health bars, and creating special parts of the building without a workbench.

Features.

Different Mini-Modes that Increase the Immersion Level Each mini-mode can be activated individually to customize it to your liking. We recommend our First Person mode and other First Person Perspective modes as a complement to this mode (if they don't conflict).

  Hide map

  Hide Enemy Health Bars

  Hide plus signs

  Construction without workbench

  Meditation mode

Hide the thumbnail.

Hides the mini-map. When this mode is activated, you can choose whether to permanently disable the mini-card or replace it with a hotkey. But Loki, how do I find a boss if the boss icon doesn't show up on a mini-map? ......" If you are interested, you can also use the meditation mode along with this.

Hide enemy health bars.

This removes enemy health bars and status icons that float over enemies. The health strips of big bosses will also disappear. This means, of course, that the remaining health of the enemy is not visible, but it also means that the enemy is more difficult to track when he runs away, since there is no giant banner over his head.

Hide plus signs.

Hides the crosshair. Switches by using the hotkey.

Build without bench

With the mini-map disabled, you may want to put signs around the world that will help you to orient yourself to the base or to a specific area. Often, a workbench must be installed before construction can begin. In this mode you can install workbenches for works that do not require a workbench nearby, or workbenches that should be completely ignored during construction (for example, there are no workbenches nearby).

Meditation mode.

It replaces the standard minicart and aims to balance the immersion into the game with its functionality. Sitting at rest (countdown to zero) allows the player to enter meditation mode. When both conditions are met, a halo appears showing the location of known map tokens (default is known bosses tokens only). The maximum meditation range depends on the rest bonus: 1 meter per second, so a higher rest bonus allows you to track more distant locations. I still can't see the location of the new boss I discovered. Improve your home to increase your bonus, or cross the ocean to meditate in a new country.

Meditation modes are still at the stage of proof of concept, so any suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Experience playing with these mods

The goal of these mods is to increase immersion in the game by reducing visual information without making it too boring. They are designed to make the study more exciting and complex, because you can not rely only on the map. We hope that the meditation mode will help fill in the gaps on the mini-map, but will not make the study easier if you rely only on the map.

Hunting is also more difficult because you have to rely on sound and vision rather than follow the health strip. Also, because you don't know how much health the enemy has left, it becomes harder to decide whether to make a single attack or carefully block the next hit that goes your way.

Workbench mode is useful because some parts are so simple that you don't need a workbench. By restricting them to simple posts and markers rather than resolving all the parts by default, you can eliminate dependence on nearby workbenches if you want. However, by prohibiting the construction of more complex parts, we hope to avoid cheese from construction during matches.

Most of these modes can be configured to be more or less restrictive than the default settings, so refer to the appropriate configuration files. It is highly recommended that you install the First Person mode along with these modes.

MakeWithoutWorkbench.

PiecesAllowedWithoutCraftingStation: A comma-separated list of parts that do not require a craft station (such as a workbench) to be around. The title of each part is available on the wiki. Put $ before each entry in the list.

IgnoreCraftingStations: A list of craft stations to ignore when checking assembly requirements. If you add a craft station to this list, you don't need to define the wooden parts separately, because not all parts connected to the craft station are required side by side. The name of each production station can be found in the wiki.

Hide crosshair.

HideCrosshair: Set to true to hide the default crosshair.

Hotkeys Hotkeys to press when you want to turn the crosshair on or off.

Meditation.

DistanceMultiplier: The multiplier used to calculate the maximum distance. This value is multiplied by 1 meter for each second left over from the rest bonus. Increase this value if you want to extend the "radar" even more.

ShowPinTypes: Types of pins to display during meditation. The default is just "Boss", but you can add "Bed", "Death", "Player", etc., separating them with commas.

Minimap.

AllowShown: Whether to allow map display. If set to false, the hotkeys will be disabled and the minicart will be permanently hidden when mode is on.

Hotkey The hotkey you need to press to show/hide the mini-map.
