Necromancy of Cheb
About This Mod
Cheb's necromancy adds craft wands, buildings and necromancy to Valheim. Minions will follow at your heels, guarding your base and doing routine jobs such as logging, farming and mining. The mod was formerly called Friendly Skeleton Wand, but as it developed it was renamed.

Cheb's Necromancy adds necromancy to Valheim using the wands and structures it creates. Minions will follow you, guard your base and perform routine tasks such as firewood cutting, farming and mining.
Formerly known as the "Friendly Skeleton Staff", the mod has been renamed as it has become something more.

Cheb Library for Valheim
Cheb's Valheim Library (CVL) is a DLL that contains code common to all my mods. For example, skeletons in Cheb's Necromancy and mercenaries in Cheb's Mercenaries inherit the ChebGonazMinion type from CVL. This allows you to command mercenaries with a staff and vice versa.
My mods come with the latest version of CVL at the time of their release, but if you want to upgrade, you can get the latest version of CVL here.
Features.
More information can be found on the wiki. Brief description:
Almost all settings are configured. Minions are too weak/too strong. Let's set them up.
The game settings against the player (PvP) can be adjusted starting from version 4.5.0.
Items that can be made in workbench and forge:
Skeletal Staff Summons skeleton warriors, archers, miners and loggers.
Draugra Staff Summons draugra warriors and archers.
Invitation Ball Summon a skeleton magician who can be thrown to send minions somewhere. She also sticks to the enemy and forces the minions to chase him.
Spectral Shroud Cloak, which raises the level of witchcraft, looks cool and attracts spirits. They will serve with sufficient force.
Necromancer's Hood: A cool-looking hood that goes with the cloak.
Necromantic Backpack Supplementary Necromancy Backpack, which integrates with AdventureBackpacks (Nexus, Thunderstore), and can also be used as Spectral Shroud.
Can control minions while holding a skeleton staff, a draughra staff, or a challenge sphere:
B creates a minion.
H changes the type of minion created by B (e.g. from warrior to archer).
F forces all the nearest minions to follow it.
T causes nearby minions to remain in standby mode.
Shift+T allows minions to move around.
G forces all the minions following it to teleport to your location.
New necromancy skills allow you to improve and improve the quality of your minions.
The strength of the minion increases with the level of necromancy.
Minions ignore encounters with players and cannot be trapped.
Minions do not damage the player's buildings and are not affected by sharpened stakes.
Minions remember who built them and are not controlled by other players.
Enhancements: If you have additional items in your inventory during the draft, you can create an improved version of the minion. To prevent accidental consumption of these resources, hold down the left Shift when creating the minion (set the configuration to None if you want it to test nothing):
Wild boar trimmings, deer skin, deer skin, scalp -> leather armor
Troll skin -> Troll armor
Wolf's skin -> wolf armor
Rock fur -> Rock armor
Bronze -> Bronze armor
Iron -> Iron armor
Black metal -> Black iron armor
Some minions need more bones:
Huck -> Poisonous skeleton
Coat Core -> Skeleton Mage
Flint -> Skeleton Lumberjack
Hard Horn -> Skeleton Miner
New structures that can be prepared
Necro pylon: From their neck tails is born undead - necrocollectors. They carry containers on their backs and walk around collecting items. They look like walking vacuum cleaners. Once saturated, the necrocollector will find the nearest container and throw objects out of it.
Filling pylon: You can put ore or coal in a smelter, wood in an oven, wood or meat in a fireplace, resin, nut, eyeballs or something else in a torch, etc.
Bat Lantern: Generates bats to protect your base.
Spirit Pillar: Generates spirits and protects your base.
Farmers' pylon: automatically harvesting. In combination with seed totems (Nexus, Thunderstore) automatically grows seeds for automatic bases.
Repair pylon: consumes resin to repair structures.
Treasure Pylon: Arranges chests in a disordered fashion. By default, it works only with the base chests, but it can be used to classify other things in the configuration. In other words, Necroses bring everything, and Treasure Pylons organize them.
Pilacter Players who create a pilacter do not die, but flee death by teleporting to the pilacter; each rescue consumes one dragon egg, and if the pilacter is not full of dragon eggs, the player dies a normal death.
Configuration.
Note: The easiest way to change the configuration is to use the Configuration Manager. It's a separate mod. Download and install it.
Press F1 to open the Mod Configuration pane.
You can also edit the configuration manually. You can customize almost everything to your liking. For a complete list of all configuration options, see here.
Known issues.
Gamers using Radeon cards may experience strange problems. We're not sure this is happening, but it's due to particle effects. This can be disabled by setting RadeonFriendly = true in the configuration.
Known incompatibilities.
There is a slight incompatibility with tilt combat correction, as the sight of working minions can be distorted. This is not a serious problem, especially if you are not using miners or lumberjacks. Alternatively, you may want to consider the "Slant Fight" fixture, which only affects the player.
It's not software compatible with Ward. Alternatively, you can use Better Wards.
The software is incompatible with Item Drawers Mod's mod, as Nekro collectors attempt to extract items from boxes.
