About This Mod
Skyrim Special Edition comes with some "remastered" art assets, including 4096px mountain textures. The problem is that it quickly turned out that these are obviously the most primitive textures from a low-resolution source, offering a slight improvement in quality at a much higher cost of performance. So I created some textures that allow for exponential growth in fidelity, but have the same resolution as the underlying SSE textures. As is usually the case with the texture mods that I create, they strive to maintain the tone and sense of the original artistic direction. My other goal was to create something that would look good both near and far, which can be very difficult for grids and UV-cards that use these textures. Close inspection reveals many small details, but they should not appear too noisy and loaded from a long distance.
