About This Mod
The Save our ship 2mod for Rimworld is a comprehensive space flight upgrade. Build orbital fortifications, explore the remnants of ancient ships and travel between the distant worlds of the world LIMU and back!
In the world of Vanilla Rim, the ship is designed solely to serve as an expensive winning condition. Sos2 aims to make it a real game element from the middle of the second half of the game. Once you build a base ship and launch it into orbit, it plays many roles: (mostly) a place free of raids, to store a small amount of prey/settlers, a source of resources when expanding to a full space station and, most importantly, a launch point for orbital quests and quick access to them. a way to get to anywhere on Earth. Getting a ship into orbit with Sos2 is much easier than with vanilla. The base ship only needs bridges, sensors, shuttle bays and a chemical-fueled engine to launch. Then you can expand it as you wish.
In Sos2, jumps from the planet are performed differently than in the previous version. Instead of starting a new game, you'll be able to jump between worlds at the touch of a button after creating the Johnson-Tanaka engine. The entire previous world will be preserved, and you will be able to visit the planet again. When you leave this world, you can transfer ownership of your colony to an allied faction, and if you choose to return, that faction will probably be grateful enough to its descendants to give you a gift.
