"Smarter Visitors" mod
About This Mod
Visitors themselves determine the moment of departure, which is not always optimal.
This mode controls the situation when groups of visitors are going to leave the settlement, and is able to postpone their departure.
In addition, a place for visitors is provided in fashion, allowing you to designate a specific area where guests will be located. This can contribute to their security by protecting them from threats.
Fashion settings allow you to choose the conditions for delaying guests:
Dangers on the map. These include raids, rabid animals, toxic rainfall and similar factors. If such conditions exist, visitors will ask you to stay for another 24 hours. You can reject the request by allowing it to go away immediately, approve it by suggesting to repeat the request in 24 hours, or request again in an hour.
Health problems. If any of the guests have health problems that require bed rest, the check will be done every hour until all of the group members are healthy enough to travel.
Sensitivity to ultraviolet light (gene Biotech). If any of the guests has a gene that is highly sensitive to ultraviolet light, the group will postpone departure until dark. This also applies to the vampires of the Rim of Madness mod, Vampires.
Please note that visitors may have negative thoughts due to a longer stay than planned. This factor is exacerbated by larger delays.
It is within your power to add additional food rations to the guests' inventory so that long delays do not cause problems.
The mod is well compatible with the outstanding Hospitality mod from Orion. The hazard check on the map is borrowed from the same system that is used for guests entering the settlement.
The mode works only in the event of a planned departure. Factors such as low temperature or hostile action are not taken into account.
The mode is safe to add and remove from an existing save.
