About This Mod

The mode allows you to play online with friends.


Multiplayer capabilities.


Unlimited play, but up to 8 players are recommended.

Currently operates with at least 95% vanilla capacity.

 It is possible to have several colonies.

You can connect over a local network, through Steam, or directly (requires redirection or use of VPN).

Mods are available (not all mods work in multiplayer, if you want to use mods, please read the section "Using multiplayer").

Order of mods loading.


The multiplayer comes after Core and before various technical mods such as Hugslib.


How do I use a direct link?


If you do not know how a direct connection works, enter 0.0.0.0.0.0 in the direct field.

You can find out your public IP address, for example, by searching Google.

If this does not work, the connection may be blocked by a firewall.


Which port should I drop on a direct connection?


30502 over UDP.


How do I convert a multi-user record to a single-user record?


Click on the record you want to convert, and then click Preview. When the entry has finished loading, the 'Convert to Single Player' button will appear in the ESC menu.


Using Multiplayer Modes


If you want to use a mod in multiplayer mode, there are a few things you need to do.


First, make sure that the mod you are going to use in your multiplayer is marked as multiplayer compatible.


You also have to organize your mods in the same way and make sure you always have the same mod set if you're trying to play multiplayer with this mod.


The host must then share the configuration file and ensure that all configurations are exactly the same.


Configuration folders are located on Windows, Mac, and Linux:


Windows: "C:◆Users%USERPROFILE%︙AppData︙LocalLow︙Ludeon Studios︙RimWorld by Ludeon Studios︙Config".

Mac: "~/Library/Application Support/RimWorld/Config/".

Linux: "~/.config/unity3d/Ludeon Studios/RimWorld by Ludeon Studios/Config".

Important! Harmony mode must be set to Harmony.
