About This Mod
Vanilla Anomaly Expanded - Sanity introduces a new game mechanics based on the "common sense" system. This is similar to the "common sense" system in other video games, where the character's mental and emotional connections are reflected in the human interest. Settlers’ sanity must be managed, because their low sanity leads to their detachment from human priorities and, ultimately, to dehumanization.
The gameplay is enriched by this system, and over time they begin to realize the consequences of their actions. The choice between fighting evil beings to restore their minds and exploring evil beings to deplete their minds will have a direct impact on you as you witness the horrors they cause.
With a change in the level of common sense, various events, social interactions, and mental states occur, providing opportunities for deeper role-playing. Characters with a low level of sanity can go crazy and start behaving disruptively, but can also become inhumane. At worst, you can try to humanize them!
The common sense that this fashion adds is not related to the mood or emotional state of the settler. It is not related to the loss of family members, eating nutritional paste, mental disorder, etc. Intelligence is an effect of emptiness and is lost only under the long gaze of fear. Intelligence is conceived as a strategic resource that takes years to exhaust and even more to replenish.
