About This Mod
Are you tired of your skillful shooting hunter not being able to hit a deer from a distance of five cages, and the arrows with the minimum skill of fire release the whole ring, but past the target, even being a couple of steps away from it? Or did you notice that fitting expensive prostheses and enhancing hand-to-hand and long-range combat skills have almost no effect on effectiveness? It's strange that the speed of reloading weapons and aiming doesn't depend on anything? Then this mod is made for you! It markedly improves the accuracy of firing any long-range weapon, making battles more dynamic and spectacular.
ATTENTION!!! "Fashion doesn't require a new game. The Combat Update mod is compatible with mods that add new weapons. Any weapon will get an increase in the chance of hitting and other bonuses from this fashion. No additional compatibility patches are required.
ATTENTION x2!!! - mod works not only for weapons and settlers of the player, opponents will also become more accurate to shoot. Be prepared for more frequent injuries to your colonists in skirmishes.
What is changing this little mod:
The parameters for calculating the chance of hitting a target depending on the distance have been changed - shooting skills affect the chance more, while the minimum threshold for marksmanship is increased, which means that even settlers with a zero shooting skill will get more often, and settlers with a high shooting skill and excellent prostheses will turn into real snipers. The maximum threshold for the probability of visual/occupational contact has also been increased from 200%/150% to 300%/300%. This means that fully equipping a colonist with good prostheses will have a greater impact on his accuracy. It may even happen that with increasing the distance, the chance of hitting will not decrease, but to do this, you need to try to equip the colonist with everything necessary.
The accuracy of all weapons is increased by 30% of the basic chance of shooting at short, medium and long distances (4-60 cells) and by 100% at point-blank range (1-3 cells). Now even the most oblique shooter will not constantly miss in 2-3 cells from the target, which would look quite funny.
Impact of weather conditions on hit chance reduced by 50%. Now in rain, blizzard or fog, the overall hit chance will decrease less than it was before the fashion was installed.
The duration of the weapon reloading now depends on the quality of the weapon. Better barrel recharges faster.
The duration of reloading is now multiplied by the factor: 1.1-0.75 (1.1 - for weapons of terrible quality, 0.75 - for the legendary).
The duration of aiming now also depends on the shooter's shooting skill. The aiming duration is now multiplied by the coefficient: 1.15-0.6 (1.15 - with the skill "Long fight - 0"; 0.6 - with the skill "Long fight - 20").
I didn't forget about the close fight. It is worth considering that increasing the accuracy of long-range weapons will complicate the life of melee fighters. But it is inevitable. Therefore, the close-quarters battle also received improvements:
Basic melee chance has been increased and now depends more on melee and prosthetic skills. At the same time, the maximum threshold for the probability of contact with vision/work has been increased from 200%/150% to 300%/300%. This means that fully equipping the colonist with good prostheses will have a stronger effect on his accuracy in close combat.
The chance of dodging melee combat has increased significantly, and now depends more on the skill of melee combat and the presence of good prosthetic colonists. Now, with a high hand-to-hand combat skill and a set of archo-prostheses (or other powerful prostheses from mods), you can achieve an 80% chance of dodging. The maximum threshold for visual impact has been increased from 150% to 300%.
