About This Mod
Age of Imperialism is a fashion for Hearts of Iron IV, set in a world without World War I. Instead, a series of local wars shaped the world’s geopolitical situation, establishing Britain, Germany, and Russia as the world’s dominant imperialists, forcing the US to abandon isolationism, weakening and corrupting France and Austria, influencing the Kingdom of Italy, and creating the Balkan Alliance. He contributed to many other interesting events, including the civil wars in China and Mexico. The game began in 1931, when the conflict between empires over mutual spheres of influence seemed to have subsided temporarily, but soon reignited with proxy wars that were changing spheres of influence in response to the looming economic crisis. Withdrawing from and replenishing alliances, creating new alliances, and inviting new countries would change the geopolitical chessboard and eventually bring humanity to the brink of a world war in which one bloc dominates the world or the world is plunged into the never-ending savagery of all-out war.
