About This Mod

Description This is half fashion, half what I thought could be combined with other people's fashion. Nothing special, but I changed the Boulder City Showdown mission a little bit to make it a little more logical and a little more complex. If I need to reduce the number of add-ons, I can combine them with my own mods. The first thing I did was to change the khans so that they would not run away from battle, but simply fall victim to NCR soldiers (the mission dialog even says that it is impossible to escape). We have also made some improvements to the navigation network around them to reduce the likelihood that khans will try to break up concrete blocks. Combining this with a scenario that allows Jessap and the other khans in the lair to get out when the fight starts (assuming they don't attack there), the fight becomes much more balanced. We also moved the blade from the living Great Khan to McMurphy and gave the living Great Khan a 9mm submachine gun. Less free loot for the player (which makes no sense since you still allow him to take only one weapon) and one less Grand Khan to run under rifle fire and die like an idiot. Finally, I added another NCR soldier armed with a 10mm pistol to level the playing field. I'm not very good at making character faces, but I think I've done pretty much the right thing. This makes the fight more like a fight, and does not add many NPCs. I decided not to bring a lieutenant into battle because I wanted to show how ready the NCR were to just throw corpses at the target, so I also made the new NCR soldiers much younger. Skirmishes The only skirmish I know of is with NVInteriors, and it's very small. Maud effectively upsets the balance of power that I tried to maintain by adding three Great Inns to the ruins. These NPCs are not marked as mission targets as I did with the new soldiers, but it's a fashion issue, not a real conflict issue. In addition, if you use an NPC revision such as FCO or NVR, I recommend using Wrye Flash to create a Bashed Patch. Otherwise, my mod will overwrite the appearance changes of these NPCs.
