About This Mod

Semi-automatic retexture/optimization process for New Vegas and TTW.

welcome to the salvo.


What is it?


Similar to the HDTP 4estgimp modes for Fallout, SALVO is a scripted process and manual for smoothly and accurately combining the most consistent retexture modes for existing New Vegas and TTW. It also optimizes the texture - it is usually better than installing a single large-size texture package like Nmc Ultra.


You need to download about 200 mods from Nexus. This guide describes the entire list.


In fact, as far as I hate the word, it's "reorganized" for NV and TTW.


This page contains the scripts you need and some custom textures for specific overrides. To use these scripts, you must follow this guide.


Once complete, this provides combined scalable decommunization (again for stability and performance), compression (maximum size 2k for stability and performance), and BSA repackages textures into a single entity for:

Armor

Clothing

Mess

Furniture

Robot

Monster


For reasons of compatibility, it does not apply to:


Weapon

Face

Body


Once completed, this will be the "final" setting for many players. There is no need to load a separate repeat texture on top of it (except for 1 exception listed in the manual). However, it is packaged in bsa as a vanilla game file, so you can install almost any other texture mod on top of it without causing any problems. Salvo will basically have a "new vanilla" setting that you can easily change with any other texture you prefer.

THEY ARE NOW SOMETIMES CALLED "WURTHS". Since WFO actually adds LOD to an LOD-free tree, it violates the basic object switching function in a Mojave Flora project (available in salvo). There may also be compatibility issues with Skinned Mesh Improvement Mod (SMIM), but I have not tested it. It's based on one report.


Why is that so?


There is no single texture package covering the entire Nv/ttw. In addition, even covered goods may be of inconsistent quality even in the same package. Most texture modes are free files that reduce performance. In addition, many Nexus texture modes contain large-size textures or uncompressed textures, which can further degrade performance or cause failure in October.


After more than 3 years of testing and compiling by myself and thousands of users, it is assumed that this will be a complete and consistent installation with the maximum possible automation for the end user.

A screenshot on this mod page shows my recommended presets for the H2O DVR, as well as some modes from the plugins section of the VOLUME guide.


Requirements:


The associated tutorial will list all the modes you need and provide links. This is intended for use with MO2, and all instructions assume use of mo2. I can't provide whirlwind support. It also assumes that you are watching Viva New Vegas (NV) or Times Best (TTW) to get a stable and properly configured game.


Don't forget about H2o (if you are interested in such things).
