About This Mod

WARNING: Do not use this mod if you have not yet captured the castle, as it interferes with the quest. Also do not use during the quest "Old Weapons", as there are some problems. (I plan to fix all the quest issues once I have completed the clashes.) 


NOTE: This is WIP and my first mod, so here and there will be strange bugs, I will try to fix all the glitches, but it may take time.

Also, if someone does not mind to make a decent screenshot/video, I will be very grateful. (My PC is junk, so the screenshots are from XB1.)


What makes this mod:


- Fixes the castle walls and adds a doorway to the front entrance.

- Removes all trash from the castle, from dead bushes and stains to debris and Miralurk junk

- Unlocks windows that open onto the courtyard

- Properly lay a brick window in the armory (why don't I just punch this flimsy red brick with my super sleigh!?)

- Clean up the floor by the walls of the courtyard.


More needs to be done:

- Re-do collisions on steps

- Add rooms to the rebuilt castle

- Repair old radio tower

- Make the grass on top of the walls less lumpy

- Re-make collisions for all 02/03 wedges so you can fire through open windows

- Make sure that all quests associated with the lock are still working

- Correct the rest of the commonwealth settlements (why you don't use the lower room of this switching tower, stupid Oberlands).


Notes:

- Put after "Scrap Fallout" in boot order (If it doesn't work, try loading the game without "SF" and then add "SF" again to the game)

- I did not remove any barrels/boxes, etc. or nested clutches of mirlurks.

- I strongly recommend "Greenery in the Commonwealth", with her the castle really looks good.


- Please report any visual, collision, navigation glitches. I had to completely rework the collision and the navigation grid for the lock, and I certainly missed something.


- If there is anything related to the castle that seems to fall within the scope of this fashion, please suggest it (don't promise that I will actually do it).


Known glitches:

- Missing wall in the corridor and bad collision of the doorway and the wall in the armory (will be fixed as soon as possible... hopefully...)

- I often get stuck for half a second on the top of the stairs in the left part of the rear wedge (side with the original door opening outwards, face outwards)

"It's a bit clumsy at times, but the NPCs stop too often to see what they're doing...
