About This Mod

IMPORTANT NOTE

Starting with Cyberpunk V2.1, mod no longer works as usual. (see below)

Add more ray tracing and ray reflection to Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 / Phantom Liberty.

Pathtracing simulates the reflection of light from objects. The more light bounces, the more realistic the rendering. The more rays, the less noise.

The game defaults to 2 beams and 2 bounces, while photo mode has 6 beams and 2 bounces.

Path tracing requires a lot of GPU power. Be discreet with lots of rays and bounces.

My recommended GPU is a minimum of Geforce RTX 4070 WQHD with FrameGeneration.

INSTALLATION

- download the Cyberpunk 2077 pathtracing mod by .ini .zip file.

- copy the .ini file from .zip to ..\Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc\

- edit the file with a text editor and set rays and bounces to your liking.

- I have installed 3 beams and 3 bounces in .ini.

  In photo mode, there are 6 beams and 2 bounces (drain mode of the game).

- This mod .ini is compatible with all other mods

>= Cyberpunk V2.1

In version 2.1, Classic tracing was disabled in Cyberpunk. Now the new algorithm "ReSTIR GI" is engaged in ray tracing. It should also reduce noise and ghosts. If you still want to test it, you can use the recording

[Editor/ReSTIRGI]

Enable = false

in .ini, to deactivate ReSTIR GI, the ray and bounce settings will take effect again.

.ini file contents (default):

[RayTracing/Reference]

RayNumber = 2

BounceNumber = 2

RayNumberScreenshot = 6

BounceNumberScreenshot = 2

[Editor/ReSTIRGI]

Enable = false
