About This Mod
1901 saw the unification of the Australian colonies and the establishment of the Commonwealth of Australia.
After a lengthy debate over the choice of a national capital, a compromise was found between Sydney and Melbourne: a new capital would be built in New South Wales, with the condition that it be located at least 100 miles from Sydney. The capital was laid down and in 1913 it was given the official name of Canberra.
The area chosen for the capital has been the home of indigenous Australians, including the Ngunnawal and Ngambri tribes, for 21,000 years. The design of the American architects Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin was selected through an international design competition and construction began in 1913.
Uncharacteristic of Australia, this city is completely planned. The Griffin layout was geometrical and focused on axes aligned with key topographical points such as Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, Capitol Hill, and City Hill. Canberra's mountainous location makes it the only city on the Australian mainland to see snow-capped mountains in winter, although snow is rare in the city itself.

- Extract the .cok and .cok.cid files to the AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Maps directory
- If the "maps" folder does not exist in this directory, create it.
