About This Mod
Ilinden, also known as Ilinden, Macedonian: Smenik "Ilinden" or Macedonium) is a monument in Kruševo, North Macedonia, unveiled on August 2, 1974, on the 30th anniversary of the second meeting of the Anti-Fascist Congress for the Liberation of the Macedonian Nation and the 71st anniversary of the Ilinden Uprising. It was officially opened.
The monument is dedicated to all fighters and revolutionaries who participated in the Ilinden Uprising of 1903, as well as soldiers and partisans of the Macedonian national liberation struggle of 1941-1944.
The area of the monument is 5 hectares (12 acres). The building has a circular shape with oval windows projecting outwards. The upper windows are made of stained glass.
Inside the dome is the grave of the president of the Republic of Kruševo Nikola Kalev and the bust of the singer Toshe Proeska. Inside the dome there are four windows, each facing in different directions, including a monument to the events associated with Ilinden Plum, Bear Stone and Pelagonia [2].
The monument also has a platform with the following sculptures.
