This mod is now the new home for Snori's Adopt Western Clothes, as it handed me the baton for further maintenance. There have been some minor tweaks/tweaks to the mechanics, complete with game rules to preserve old behavior where applicable. Thank you for supporting this amazing fashion and I hope for your continued support of this!

At A Glance

Western Clothes: Redux (WCR) adds functionality to nations that begin to be un-Westernized, allowing their characters and populations to be Westernized and wearing European-style clothing.

Westernization takes place mainly through a decision which is opened after the fulfillment of its requirements. Once the decision is made, your country begins the process of Westernization, and all your characters and populations will wear Western attire.

Mod Compatibility

For blue0china’s East Asian Clothes users, please use East Asian Clothes Patch to ensure compatibility.

WCR also comes with built-in Universal Names compatibility for hints and text descriptions that include character names. Patch mods are not required.

WCR also has special logic if Community Outfit Mod is detected. If COM is established and the game rules do not prevent it, then Westernized Korea and Japan will use the monarchical uniforms provided by COM if they choose their internal designs when Westernizing.

WCR is designed to be compatible with other mods that make changes to the clothing of the population and characters. However, due to the behavior of loading Vic3 mods, mods that make changes to the following may be incompatible:

· Accessories

· Clothing

· Hairstyles

· Hats

for characters and populations.

Modes that modify the user hint file (cooltips) are incompatible and will require a compatibility patch unless they are Community Mod Framework compliant. CMF should be installed and used with WCR in such cases.

All the other fashions have to work.

Download Order

This mod works separately and can be placed anywhere.

If you are having problems with the correct operation of mods with other mods, try placing this mod below (closer to the bottom) of your mod playlist.

For Universal Names users, the UN hosting relative to WCR is irrelevant.

DLC Requirements

This mode does not rely on any DLC features for most of its features, so you should not need any DLC.

Sphere of Influence users will receive the following additional features:

· Some politicians will wear coats in winter months, matching the behavior of DLC coats

· Domestic style option for Persia will be available.

· Uniforms transition to late-era styles after researching rifles with manual reloading. Countries with domestic styles will also receive fictional or vaguely historical late-era styles if an appropriate rule of play is included (except for Persia, which will always use them as provided by the DLC).
