Patria Grande: The Best of Hispanoamerica

If you have ever played for any Latin American country, you know how frustrating it can be. Paradox presents these countries as extremely weak and with very little scope for development. This mod significantly improves Latin America and introduces a new country formed with unique content, providing a much more enjoyable gaming experience.

- Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Northern Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela have received technological improvements (as well as Spain, for historical consistency). In addition, some of these countries now have religious schools, religious hospitals or both.

- The Essequibo region was originally part of Venezuela, as it was historically.

- The claims to colonization in South America have been corrected. Argentina now also has claims to the Falkland Islands.

- Fines for construction in regions such as the Sierra Madre, the Andes and the Central American Cordillera have been reduced, although not completely eliminated.

- Added much more resources and arable land in the Americas. The basic game does not reflect the wealth of the continent, so now more oil, rubber, gold and many other resources.

- The mechanics for the formed nations in South America is changed. The development of national cultures no longer inhibits the formation of other countries. This includes the Andean Federation, which Chile can now also form (though Patria Grande and the Andean Federation cannot be formed in the same game).

- Mexico has very little content in the base game and is at an absolute disadvantage compared to the United States. It has received a number of improvements, including decisions related to Mexican destiny that grant claims and possible status to the motherland over the Great Plains, Oregon, and Washington, as well as the ability to reintegrate Central America under Mexican control.

- Introduced Patria Grande, a formed country that unites all of Latin America, with dynamic flags and names.

- The formation of Patria Grande creates a new Latin American culture that should be gradually planted throughout the country, rewarding players with a powerful modifier after achieving this goal.

- Added numerous expansion solutions, granting claims to the western United States and Canada, the Caribbean, western Brazil and even homeland status in these states.

- Added additional entries to the log and solutions as content for Patria Grande.

- Improved quality of life for playing in America.

- Expansion opportunities for Central America and greater ease in maintaining the unity of the country.

The mod introduces some restriction on the freedom of choice, with constant claims and modifiers. I know that many players don't like it, but I believe that achieving certain goals in fashion should be rewarding. I would appreciate your feedback on this.

Future plans:

* Specific modifiers for some states. Feel free to suggest ideas!

* More historical buildings will be added at the beginning of the game. Suggestions are welcome on this issue.

* I will find out how to make the characters from non-native countries continue to appear after the formation of Patria Grande.

* A journal entry about a major conflict between unitarians and federalists, similar to what has happened in almost all Latin American countries in real life. This could trigger a civil war with modifiers, depending on whether the model is unitary or federal.

* Depending on how assimilation works in version 1.8, I want to develop events related to the indigenous peoples of America.

* I will continue to refine resources, primary populations and laws in Latin America. Offers are always welcome!

Feel free to offer anything else except historical wars involving these countries as this will make the game too limited for a sandbox such as Victoria 3.
