About This Mod

It is a set of tools for fine-tuning the route of traffic of vehicles and streets.

Problem A: Inflexible roads

This mod adds a choice of multi-lane streets so you can overtake, but with the same width so you can try different types of roads without destroying your buildings. Some road types reserve the right lane for passenger or goods vehicles; they carry additional signs on the sidewalk.

Use categories to select the right type of street for ease of use.

Problem B: Poor control destroys sections of road

This mod adds two sliders to the street construction menu. They divided the road into two segments.

- Automatic slider saves all buildings, just plump them anywhere you want.

- The manual cut is a backup. Put it on the side of the road and turn it <m>, <shift> + <m>, <n> or <shift> + <n>, carefully adjusting its position.

Both slices destroy themselves after placement, leaving your road divided into two segments. Debug mode and AltGr+L will reveal their effect.

By dividing a portion of the road, you can change or remove only a small portion, keeping the rest.

Problem B: trams run only on the far right lane

This mod adds street construction to switch additional tram tracks. Put it on the road and it will add or remove the extra tram tracks if the lanes are enough.

In previous iterations, the street menu had displayed roads with many tram tracks, but this was ugly.

Problem D: Vehicles are unnecessarily queued

The game has new lane waypoints: use them.

Solution: Use the dedicated roads (or disable them with the new fashion setting if you're in a new game and don't want to use them)

If there are not enough lane waypoints, replace the faulty road with a road of the same width that reserves the right lane for certain vehicles. Use a standard replacement tool (magic wand) to help yourself <switch> to a shorter stretch of road. If necessary, use a slice to cut its own segments. Choose a new road with a category icon to avoid confusion. If necessary, use a standard tool to turn on or off the bus lanes. If necessary, switch the tram tracks in the middle with a special street construction tool.

Detailed solution: divide the road into segments

When you build a long enough stretch of road, the game splits it into seamless sections. The junctions between them allow the vehicles to rearrange. The trouble is that these segments are quite long, and the intersections do not allow you to rebuild. If you have a short stretch of road, then an intersection, then another short stretch, then another crossing, most likely the vehicles will not be able to change for a long time.

You can divide a portion of a road by adding a crossing street and removing it, but this often involves destroying several buildings. Use a slicer to prevent a massacre. If you have multiple segments, you can selectively change the road in some or all of them. Try adding an extra lane on the plot only with a street stop.

Problem E: Weak control over road construction

This mod adds "street construction" to the construction of sections of the road with useful parameters. These blocks can be single or multiple, arranged in parallel. Lock them to keep them beautifully shaped and prevent other roads from merging. Unlock them to treat them as normal roads. You cannot re-lock an unlocked chunk.

Problem F: Ugly or Impossible Merges

This mod adds "street construction" for building mergers. For example, you can combine up to four single-lane streets into a large, possibly bizarre location of the forecourt.

Associations can be reconfigured after placement if street layout allows. If the merge does not behave correctly after the mod update, reverse the mod direction twice (i.e. reverse and restore) to update it to the latest version.

Problem G: Ugly bends

This mod adds "street construction" to create more beautiful curves. Lock the curve to keep it beautifully shaped and prevent other roads from merging. Unlock it to treat it like a normal road. You cannot re-lock an unlocked curve. You can combine two of them to create custom roundabouts.

Problem H: no footpaths

This mod adds a few thin tracks, almost invisible. You can use them to perform various tricks, for example, to connect stations to roads or to walk people through the park. Set aside a bus lane for them to make them pedestrians.

In addition, there is a 1 meter long footpath.

Problem I: Cars make funny turns

Sometimes vehicles drive through an intersection, then reverse and then turn to where they are to turn.

Use the splitter to force them to rearrange where you want - i.e. at the fork.

Tips:

- To visualize the tracks better, start the game in debug mode and press <AltGr> + <L>.

- Press and hold <Shift> to replace a short stretch of road between the two joints.

- Choose a street - improve and right-click on a one-way road to change its direction.

- Use categories in the street menu to avoid headaches.

- Construction propulsion helps to correct the structures after their installation.

This mod can break your game if you use it and then delete it.

Thanks to Enzojz for luadump!

I'd love the truck-only or tram-only lanes, but the game doesn't allow it yet.

Pivot A

The game will not allow you to change or remove a section of the road, the dimensions of which have changed in the update of fashion.

This affects "Middle One Way Street with 1 lane and very narrow sidewalk" and "Middle One Way Street with 1 lane traffic", which I sent before the summer of 2020.

To fix this:

- search for mods in your C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappsworkshopcontent1066780 folder

- locate the lollo_medium_1_way_1_lane_street.lua file

- install

streetWidth = 3.0, sidewalkWidth = 2.5,

— locate the file "lollo_medium_1_way_1_lane_street_narrow_sidewalk.lua"

- install

streetWidth = 3.0, sidewalkWidth = 0.5,

- start the game

- delete all instances of these roads

- save your game

- Restore the files to their previous state (i.e. from the last update)

- reboot the game and rebuild destroyed

roads Most likely, a new convergence of streets will help you make them more beautiful anyway.

Change B fracture

Street convergence may be on bridges as of February 2022. This has resulted in incompatible changes. If you want to update an old merge, bulldoze it and rebuild it again.

Known Issues

A) When you divide the road near a modified street station whose mod has been removed and then apply a modifier, such as adding/removing a bus lane or changing the street type, the game flies out.

This is true for both one-way and two-way stations. You can identify these stations because the game displays a placeholder at their location.

This is the problem of the CG. To resolve this issue, replace these stations with the ones available in your game.

B) The game always draws tram tracks on extreme lanes (lanes), even if trams are blocked there. Take this as a graphical failure.

B) The game always expects buses to be allowed on the outside lanes.

D) Do not use mods that change the default roads in the game.
