About This Mod
The Tatra K5 is a double-sided tram produced by the Czechoslovak company ČKD Praha, the Tatra Smíchov race in the early 1970s. This type, derived from the unidirectional variant of TATRA K2, was supplied exclusively by Cairo Tram Network in 200. However, due to difficult climatic conditions and poor maintenance, the wagons remained in service for about a decade.
With the supply of Czechoslovak Tatra K5 trams developed since the mid-1960s, Egypt at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s is apparently lost to the 1967 Arab-Israeli war and Egypt's rapprochement with the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc states. From the then official name of Egypt, the so-called United Arab Republic, probably took place and export performance (the label of the export version), which is often used in the name of the tram (as Tatra K5AR).
