About This Mod
Locomotive Pesa GAMA
The Pesa Gama is a family of locomotives and electric locomotives produced since 2012 by Pesa Bydgoszcz.
The Gama locomotive is designed for all European markets, including Poland, because the construction solutions used take into account the specifics of the Polish railway infrastructure. The Gama has a modern drive with one traction static converter, coolant, and two 2-level inverters per engine cart. It is equipped with electrodynamic and resistive brakes. The transmission of engine power from the carts to the box is carried out using inclined traction rods.
In Poland, more than 50 locomotives are used, which are usually used in freight trains.
Gama had its world premiere at the 2012 InnoTrans in Berlin.
In 2013, Gama was awarded by the Institute of Industrial Design in the Public Sphere category.
