About This Mod
This mod adds Budd M3 to its Long Island Rail Road configuration in Transport Fever 2. In this version, the car's capacity is scaled up for better gameplay. The couple will hold 46 passengers.
Introduced in 1968 as the "Metropolitan 1", Budd's M1 EMU helped overhaul the aging pre-war Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Agency. The new design sought to create a middle ground between the traditional rail link and express transport, ushering in a new era of commuting in the Tristate area.
Despite being similar to its predecessor, the M3 is a major technical upgrade, boasting General Steel GSI 70 trucks and GE 1261 engines. About 150 M3 remain in service along the LIRR.
