About This Mod

Check out the new expanded expansion of the Mail and Waste industry!

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1962151270 Both mods can be used together or separately

Introduces 13 new types of loads and many new industries to make the game more complex but balanced. Suitable trucks support new types of cargo. This mod does not overwrite any vanilla assettes, so it is 100% compatible with any other industry or freight demand mod!

New types of cargoes:

1. Berry Coffee

2. Coffee

3. Livestock

4. Fish

5. Meat

6. Alcohol

7. Document

8. Slag

9. Oil-bearing sand

10. Sand

11. Marble

12. Silver ore

13. Silver ingots

Works very well with Expanded Cargo Requirements from FxUK

This mod was created according to 3 basic concepts; Compatibility, playability and complexity

Compatibility:

Some freight vehicles (**including those added by other mods!!) have been modified to automatically support new types of cargo where it makes sense, such as wagons, gondola cars, dump trucks, airplanes, etc. This is done without overwriting any existing assets, so it is almost 100% compatible with any other industry or freight demand fashion!

Gambling:

This mod integrates seamlessly with the experience of the base game, and all new industrial buildings will appear on the generation map in addition to vanilla industrial chains. I found out that this mod is quite balanced, despite its complexity. After extensive testing and iterations, I've come up with these new industries that open up exciting new gaming opportunities.

Complexity:

The third goal was to completely reassess the difficulty of most industries in the game. Other players pointed out things that don't make much sense, like tools that require wooden boards, and I considered these changes in my previous fashion, "Restored Industry." Many of the changes from this fashion are still current in Industry Expanded, but there are many new ones, as shown in the images preview. All this is done in order to add much needed complexity and strengthen the basis laid by the developers, without changing the main game too radically.

With the proliferation of new industry chains, it is important to properly reward players for making decisions about, say, where to allocate goods. Solutions such as "Which industry should I allocate x, y, or z resources to?" are almost entirely absent from the base game due to linear industry chains. Previously, each item had a specific end product, but this mod is aimed at giving players the opportunity to think about where they prefer to move goods.

All of this is balanced appropriately, as you can easily sacrifice playability because of too much difficulty.

New raw materials industries:

Coffee Farm:

Produces 1 coffee berry

Coffee factory:

2 coffee berries required = 1 coffee produced

Fisheries:

Produces 1 fish

Animal farm:

1 grain required = 1 head of livestock produced

Meat Processing Plant:

1 head of cattle or 2 fish required = 1 meat produced

Alcohol distillery:

2 grains required = 1 alcohol produced

Paper Factory:

2 logs required = 1 paper produced

Silver ore mine:

produces 1 silver ore

Silver Mill:

2 silver ores required = 1 silver produced

Advanced Steel Mill:

requires 2 iron ore + 2 coal = produces 1 steel + 1 slag

Oil Sand Mine:

produces 1 oil sand

Marble mine:

produces 1 marble

New end product industries:

Advanced food processing plant:

1 coffee or 1 alcohol or 1 meat = 2 units produced.

Advanced Tools Factory:

1 steel required = 2 tools produced

Factory of advanced products:

requires 1 wood board + 1 plastic, 1 paper + 1 plastic or 1 silver + 1 plastic = produces 1 item

Advanced Refinery:

requires 2 oil sands = produces 1 sand + 1 fuel

Factory of advanced building materials:

requires 1 slag, 1 sand or 1 marble + 1 stone = produces 2 building materials

Factory

advanced machinery: requires 1 silver + 1 steel = produces 1 machine

Bonus industry in the style of TpF1:

Advanced Chemical Plant:

2 grains required = 1 plastic produced

I hope you enjoy this mod — it took me many hours to develop the concept, test the game and set it up to try and find a good balance between these new industries. I decided to release it, as so far I had a lot of fun with it, but I always welcome any feedback in the comments!
