About This Mod
This Siemens Vectron locomotive is used on the ÖBB Nightjet from Amsterdam to several destinations in Austria, as well as on international long-distance service from Amsterdam to Berlin. Two of these locomotives were rented from the ELL and most recently painted in the new NS livery.
These locomotives were originally scheduled to be introduced with a change in schedule in December 2020 as another branch to the existing Vienna/Innsbruck-Hamburg/Brussels routes, with NS International pulling a train on the Amsterdam-Cologne section.
However, due to the current epidemiological measures, international flights of Nightjet have been canceled, and the ÖBB plans to resume them between 28 April and 1 May. This also applies to the route to Amsterdam, which is expected to depart Austria for the first time on 28 April 2021. As for the Amsterdam-Berlin Intercity trains, the NS now states that "there is no longer any information on how they are used".
