About This Mod
The NS Flirt is an electric train operated by Dutch railways. The trains were built by Swiss train builder Stadler Rail on the basis of the Flirt 3 platform. The trains are primarily intended to compensate for material shortages and the increase in the number of passengers on the main railway network. Flirt (abbreviation for Flinker Leichter Innovativer Regionaltriebzug) is characterized by light and space in the interior. This is achieved including the use of Jakob trolleys combined with wide open barge passages and low floor. The low floor, combined with a retractable footrest, makes it easier for people with disabilities to access the train. The low weight of the train combined with high starting torque makes it ideal for trains with a large number of stops and short stopping times. Trains are therefore used in the NS as Sprinter.
