About This Mod

The AI Designer allows you to quickly build large transport networks in a few clicks. It contains more than 25,000 lines of code and a fuzzy-logic route-finding algorithm.

Local bus service

Whenever an AI builder builds a railway station, port, or airport, he also builds a bus station with three lines connecting residential, industrial, and commercial areas of the city.

Passenger trains

You can build intercity passenger rail links, it will look for existing stations and expand existing lines where possible.

New terminals are added automatically, and all existing routes are shifted to make room for a new connection.

Freight trains

Freight routes could divide the tracks. However, they will not use passenger rails, as they are separated from each other.

Trucks and roads

The AI creator is committed to reusing existing roads where possible and upgrading them. It will even take the original street network and "smooth out" it, the effect is minor, but basically it allows road vehicles to maintain their maximum speed.

Starting with version 1.0, trucks are the only vehicle that will deliver "end-of-life" goods to cities.

Motorways

It is possible to build motorways between cities. I recommend the option of "2 lanes on a hill", as the construction of highways at ground level often comes into conflict with many other things. If two highways intersect, an interchange (4-lane interchange) is automatically built.

Connectivity options available

The parameters of the building vary with the epoch, I divided them into 6 different epochs, roughly dividing the original epochs. Behavior will change over time; for example, crossings are allowed in early play but not in late play. Early routes will focus on level hold, later routes will focus on holding straight and minimizing distance.

Spirals:

If a large difference in altitude is required that exceeds the specified maximum gradient, spirals will be built to increase or decrease the altitude. They are fully integrated into the area.

Fashions:

Currently, AI Builder uses and understands only vanilla assettes. Unfortunately, I have had to hard-code supply chains, so non-vanilla industries will be ignored.

If you want to use non-vanilla stations, then it is possible to build stations in advance and the AI builder will connect these stations by route. I've designed options for "above-ground" and "underground" routes, and they work with modified above-ground and underground stations. However, the AI builder cannot perform any updates to the modified stations, such as adding paths or electrifying, so this will have to be done manually.
