About This Mod

Control the needs and capacity of urban planning.

This mod adds a "setting" tab to the city menu, where you can change some settings that affect all buildings, present and future. It's not just a setup for future buildings, but a tool to save a game that has become too slow.

If your game has grown and stopped, you can reduce industrial and commercial demand in all cities.

If that doesn’t work, you can increase industrial and commercial consumption (i.e., supply efficiency) across all cities.

If you want more, you can reduce the need for people in every building. This will reduce the population on your map.

You can also do the opposite and increase the parameters if you have a NASA computer or a very small game.

These adjustments affect all buildings, present and future.

You can add or remove requirements to residential, commercial and industrial areas, city by city.

It also affects all buildings, present and future.

As a bonus, you get switches to control AI:

- avoid new skyscrapers (new buildings only),

- Establish epochs for urban building styles (new buildings only),

— build non-square roads (new roads only),

- develop cities more often,

— Restrict geometry settings to improve performance — change the likelihood that characters will search for new destinations.

NOTES:

— Whenever you change a setting that affects all cities, this mod will change the properties of future buildings and recalculate *all* buildings on your map. This will take a while: just press one button and don't touch anything until the game unfreezes.

- The Editor tab, which appears in Sandbox mode, may display incorrect values. That's why I deactivated it.

PERFORMANCE TIPS:

I have a test game with over 50,000 people and mods that will be 16 times the performance of the industry. The game stuttered a lot. This fashion and these tricks have hastened my car to the level of:

- Reduce industrial production to a reasonable level, no more than 6,400 units of coal

- Reduce industrial and commercial demand with this fashion

- Increase supply efficiency with this fashion

- Modify the steel mill to require 1 coal and 1 ore instead of 2 (not included here)

- In the game settings, set low

Geometry - Set your game to high or low

texture quality - Use one screen instead of two

- Limit the frame rate using the Nvidia Control Panel.

KNOWN ISSUES:

- If the city does not seem to accept any merchandise but must, make any fictitious changes to your residential, commercial or industrial needs, wait for the game to unfreeze, then cancel the change and wait again.
