About This Mod

Combining several mods that have compatibility problems and further refining these mods. These include mutant rebalance, weapon rebalance, economy rebalance, A-life modification, and player movement.

This modpack is an amalgamation of mods that I love to use, with an emphasis on balancing the best game experience for a stalker/veteran.

The modes presented below have been used as a basis, combined and modified to gain better experience.

Maklane's Better Zone - Total Overhaul

Grok's Economy and Difficulty Fix Attempt (economic part only)

Shea Residential Area (mod for alife)

Improved arches and better use of stamines

All exoskeletons of Exi allow sprint

Artifact enhancement

What was changed?

Transition from real time to game time: there are 5 options:

4x (default)

3x

2x

1.5x

1x

(IE 4x means daytime is about 2 hours, and night is about 2 hours)

A-life:

You should see more activity in the zone. Expect more attacks on NPC lairs (lairs are places where dudes just cool down), as well as more scenarios (these are random events you encounter). Feedback is welcome

Spawn distance increased from 95 to 300 meters for a-life.

The total number of agents increased to 300. (This value may be increased or decreased pending feedback.)

More information can be found on the Shay Fashion page

Gameplay changes:

The default FOV is set to 90, as is the downward viewing angle of 90.

Weight was adjusted for cartridges, artifacts, quest items (they are set to zero until elimination of errors), weapons.

Durability was greatly increased for armor and weapons. The armor will last a long time, but repairing it can be expensive, as can weapons.

Economics: Economics has been rearranged so that it falls between the fashion of Grock's suffering and his version of suffering-free. This will allow you to get much less loot. However, the trade with merchants has been changed so that they take non-broken items (0%) and pay a little more overall.

Payment for quests is presented in 4 options:

No adjustment of quest fees (default)

30% increase for quests

55% increase for quests

100% increase for quests

The cost of selling from merchants increased by 17%.

Ammunition cost slightly reduced

Repair costs are increased to compensate for increased durability.

The cost of the artifacts has increased, and the artifacts themselves have been reworked.

Gunplay & Ballistics:

This mod pack includes an all-out McLane reworking. A full description of this fashion can be found on the website

No one is a bullet sponge. If you don't have armor, you'll eat crap and die. I highly recommend to buy armor with protection of 30% or higher. Investing in armor will save your life. Even if you have good armor, you can't stand AP shells, they'll take you to shreds. Take refuge or die.

Grenades are very lethal, they will kill you without a proper defense. Even so, it's almost death.

Shotguns are also lethal within a suitable distance (30 or 40 m, depending on the weapon). Beware of enemies with shotguns, they will kill you point blank. NPCs with shotguns no longer kill you from a distance. Beware that a few NPCs with shotguns firing at a distance can still cause you to bleed, but there will be no damage if there is any.

And the last point: Standing in the open = death.

Mac Lane's jam was altered, in general, anything that has a strength of more than 85% does not get stuck. Anything below has an increased chance of casting a spell.

Side weapons have been expanded to include smg and sawn off.

Healing:

The balance between vanilla instant healing and medical cards that work forever.

It takes about 10 seconds for a complete cure. Bandages don't cure.

Mutants:

Turned on loot for mutants, reduced the frequency of spawning loot in general. The mutants must now suffer more from the expanding projectiles, as their armor has been removed. To compensate for this, the total damage was slightly increased. Small mutant changes from McLane. Mainly a small reduction in overall HP.

Improvements:

The modifications were unlocked, allowing the armor and weapons to be completely refurbished.

Stamina and improved vaulting:

Endurance is presented in 4 variants:

Vanilla

25%

50% (default)

75%

Damage from the fall was changed to 40%. A fall of 20 feet is no longer fatal, but painful.

Exo costumes by default now include the possibility of sprint, as well as helmets. Why? Well, everything else tries to kick you while you're lying down, it's a treat for those who can find and afford upgrades for exo. (If so requested, an option could be made without it.)

Stealth was modified to avoid terminators. (For additional tips on avoiding terminators, see the installation guide.)

Miscellaneous:

The NPC ejection distance is now 900 m.

The flashlight light brightness is set to .95 instead of .7

The default flashlight has also been upgraded.

Glass translucency reduced to .05 (from .3)

The time for collecting bodies has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second.

The abnormalities began to cause slightly more damage.

Additional changes are recommended, but will be listed in the installation guide below. Any mod listed there is highly recommended and compatible with this mod pack.

Installation

1. Download mod

2. Unzip mod, place all files in 000Install folder in ~mod folder. (Go to steam, find the game files, Stalker2\Content\Paks) If you don't have the ~mod folder, create one. (Yes, you need the ~ symbol)

2a. OPTION: The set includes several folders, each of which has options for mods from the standard mod pack. The name of the folder tells you which .paks it contains. To install, simply drag and drop your selections into the same ~mods folder. Note that they must overwrite the base modpack according to the standard naming schemes. Ensure that zzJakesModifiedZone_0.1 is loaded over these variations.

Note: select ONLY ONE .pak from EACH folder. This is done so that other options can be used in the future. (IE You can choose 1 from folder A and 1 from folder B, there will be no problems. 2 from folder A is not an exit).

3. SAVE BRICKS IF THEY WERE NOT MADE: For Mutant Loot download here and install in ~mods folder https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/389 . Make sure you choose to download the localization and select the one that matches your language.

3a. Note: Do not remove zzzz_Mutant_Loot_Rework, which comes with this modpack. He's rebalancing the mutant loot. Just install the mutant loot mod and everything will work fine!

4. Enjoy, technically you are finished! However, I strongly recommend that you install the following mods:

1. More Quests

This mod removes the 72-hour limit on quests and gives you 5 quests to choose from. Once you complete the quest, give them 10 to 30 seconds and you will be able to see 5 more quests that can be accepted. (Note: I am currently studying the possibility of limiting quests to 1, but have not yet succeeded.)

Just put it in the ~mods folder, order doesn't matter here.

2. Novichok's AI (AI only, no fight) : https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/288?tab=description

This mode completely remakes AI so that it is not such a dumb or complete terminator. The order doesn't matter, install on top of this JakesModifiedZone (just add as much z to JakesModifiedZone as you need to make it happen)

3. It is two parts, but if you want to have the best flashlight, you should install this mod. I think it's very important for the night game. Follow the instructions on the Fashion page, customize to your liking (popular settings will be posted here soon):

Flashlight Customizer (not embedded in .pak because it cannot be embedded)

Simple Modloader and Console Enabler (required for flashlight client)

4. If you have performance issues or you just want to improve performance:

Yerts Engine

Compatibility section

Unless otherwise stated, this modpack is NOT compatible with any other mod or modpack. All recommended modes are compatible. Additional compatibility will be listed as feedback/questions become available.
