About This Mod

This mod is fundamentally changing the trading system and adding a bunch of things: banks, information system, price volatility, loans, contracts, stock market and much more.

Prices for all commodities are volatile, which is meant to "model" transactions carried out by other factions. Over time, you will notice changes in the value of goods - they may be slightly more expensive or cheaper. As a rule, every game year there will be rebalancing, prices will either fall (if increased) or rise (if decreased). However, there may be more serious deviations from the initial figures. It is important to understand that these changes directly affect market value, and therefore your financial position.

The game has a news screen. Over time, various messages will appear on the website. They may affect the prices of certain product categories. For example, if a settlement is prepared for war, weapons and armor may increase in price. When a faction has a rich harvest, food prices decline because of an excess in the market. Stay tuned to predict price movements and sell profitably at the right time.

You can securely store your hard-earned money using the services of the bank. Two banks are currently available: Civil Outlander and Imperial (if you have DLC Royalty). Fashion makers can add other banks. Deposit in the bank, as well as withdrawing money, requires the payment of interest, so you should not abuse this function. The amount of the commission depends on your relationship with the faction of the bank - if you are allies, the commission is not charged! The advantage of a bank is that the silver stored in it is not counted in the general welfare of the colony, which can be useful when your colony is often raided.

In the game, it was possible to take out loans. They may be short term, but with huge interest rates, or longer term, but with interest rates that depend on bank fees. Loans are a useful tool if you see a profitable business opportunity, but you don't have enough money. Be careful: failure to pay the loan will have unpleasant consequences.

Now you can invest your money in a variety of randomly generated Orbital trading companies. Their starting cost is random. Over time, you’ll get news related to these companies and see how they affect stock prices. If a company publishes impressive earnings reports or invests in new vessels to expand the business, be sure to buy more shares before they get more expensive to sell at their peak. The shares you own are not counted in your wealth, so no one will attack you because of your portfolio.

A contract screen is also available to view available sales contracts on the extranet. Anonymous parties will want to buy certain goods at a price higher than the market price, so if you see a suitable contract, get or buy the item they need and sell it to the contract holder, making a good profit. For example, now you have the opportunity to get rid of 1000 units of human skin, selling them at a markup of 300%! Higher-margin contracts are in high demand, and someone else may have time to make a deal before you. Be careful!

You can also place your own contracts. The more you are willing to pay for something, the more likely someone is to respond to your offer. The main thing is that you have enough funds in your bank account to pay.
