About This Mod

Technical mods required for some mods of author Oscar Potocki, for example, Vanilla Factions Expanded - Settlers.

The 'Vanilla Expanded Framework' mod includes a number of features for different mods to improve performance without duplicating code across multiple mods. Examples of common features include a custom base generation code with an excellent building export tool, customizable sieges, pack animal textures by fractions, a garment color system by fractions, a redesigned and improved Orion fraction discovery, item handling code, shields, and more.

In addition, mod includes mod Faction Discovery:

Orion Faction Discovery?

Yes, we have a contract with Orion! We signed with Orion and included his Faction Discovery mod in the vanilla version of the extension. Now, if you decide to add a faction to a game already played, when loading a save you will have the opportunity to create settlements for that faction, specify their number and distance to the player.

Remove faction restrictions?

Yes, mod removes faction restrictions! This mode removes the 12-faction limit introduced in 1.3!

Disable Atlas Cache?

Yes, this mod turns off the Atlas cache! By default, the mod disables the Atlas cache as of version 1.3. If you see a significant performance impact, you can disable this feature in the fashion settings!

FAQ (frequently asked questions):

Q: Is this mod required to run other Vanilla Expanded mods?

A: Yes, this mod contains all the code used by other mods that require this framework. If you run these mods without this framework, you will not be able to play them.

Q: What is the place of this mod in the mod loader?

A: This mod should be loaded before other mods.

Q: Is this mode compatible with other modes?

A: Yes, it is a framework and it is compatible with any other mod. Known issues can be found in the Known Issues section of this mod before you comment.

Q: Will the features of this fashion work with other mods?

A: Yes, and we make every effort to prepare the detailed documentation. You can create your own mods based on this framework if you mark this framework as the main element.

Q: Can I include your code in my own mod?

A: No. We can't include your code in our own mods. We created this framework to avoid just that: if you use the same code in two different mods, it will cause performance problems and lead to bugs.

Q: Is it compatible with Faction Control and Empire mods?

A: I confirm!

Q: Is it compatible with Combat Extended?

A: Yes, compatible.

Q: What does this mod actually do?

A: If you don't have other vanilla mods extensions, this mod will work like the Faction Discovery mod mentioned above.

Q: I chose to ignore the faction, but still want it to be displayed. What should I do?

A: Edit the save file and delete the "ignoredFactions" section.

Known issues.

Make sure your RimWorld is up to date. Old RimWorld logs will not be fixed.
