"(NWN) Real Fog of War" mod
About This Mod
The Real Fog of War version incorporates the fog of war effect into Rimworld.
Functionality:
The map is initially closed and requires research to open.
Players, humans, animals, mechanoids, and some AI-controlled objects are also visible. The field of view is common to all members of the faction and is subject to influence.
Animals only participate in the general "fog of war" faction if they are trained and have a basic set of commands.
Long-range weapons can only attack what is visible in sight; mortars and similar weapons can strike hidden and invisible areas.
The size of the field of vision in humans, animals and mechanoids is adjusted depending on the "vision" parameter, as well as depending on the dark (mechanoids to the dark are insensitive) and weather conditions.
Bionic eyes reduce the negative effect of darkness (one eye half, two eyes full).
Standing in place and attacking people, animals and mechanoids gain a slight extension of the field of vision, thanks to the "look" into nearby spaces.
In a non-moving attack, the aiming range is adjusted over time according to the distance of the weapon (depending on the warmth time of the weapon and the range).
In sleeping humans and animals, the baseline field of vision is reduced to 20%.
In low and medium difficulty levels, the player's automatic turrets extend the field of view in the aiming area.
Added surveillance cameras to monitor the area (requires investigation), and watchtowers to increase the range of vision if colonists are on them.
Compatible with existing saves, but the map will not be revealed.
