Mod Faction Control
About This Mod
Faction Control offers a number of customization options that allow you to customize the fraction groups and fraction bases displayed on the map. Simply go to the Mode Settings section of the Game Options menu.
You can adjust the total number of factions displayed on the world map (from 0 to 30), the minimum number of factions for each faction, and even remove some factions altogether if you like. For example, you can play on a planet where there are no tribal groups, aliens, pirates, or a planet where the only group is a pirate gang.
In addition, individual mod-added fractions (42 in total) can be controlled at the same level as vanilla fractions. So for example, if you're playing with a mod that has multiple sibling factions added to it, and you want to see only a few of them in your world, you can adjust your planets accordingly. (It also gives you the ability to choose which factions you want to use in any game added by any mod, without having to disable or remove the mod that added them.)
Increasing the total number of factions in the world also increases the number of factions hostile to you. So unlike most mods that increase the number of fractions, this mod won't let you create a world with 30 fractions.
It can also adjust the density of faction strongholds on the world map, creating planets where each faction has only a few strongholds, or densely populated planets with settlements everywhere.
Maud is also able to organize bases geographically so that each faction's bases are close to each other, creating planets that look like real nations, rather than bases scattered around the map.
