Dryads and Gauranlen trees have been reworked

The effectiveness of dryads and their trees depends on the protection of natural shrines and respect for nature, not on endless pruning.

The best dryads.

Dryads become more active in helping the settlers. They tend to grow certain crops and cultivate the land, and some may even try to save shipwrecked settlers like wizards.

Dryads also sleep less, heal faster, and change caste faster.

Dryads who can plant plants plant them next to their trees. What can be planted depends on the caste. Healers plant only medicinal plants, berries - food, and dryads - trees. However, dryads are not able to plant quickly and are much slower than mechanoids farmers. They don't harvest either.

Harmony.

Cutting trees is no longer necessary. Instead, Gauranren depends on the harmony of the trees.

Level of harmony.

Initially, only one dryad lives on the tree. This limitation increases as more than one sanctuary is built.

As the level increases, so do the demands on Gauranren. These include the overall harmony on the map and the cost of the most valuable nearby sanctuaries.

Mechanoids owned by the player reduce the harmony of the map and prevent progression through the level unless the player makes up for it by building a sanctuary somewhere on the map. Some trees will not be able to feed dryads at all if the level falls low enough.

FAQ: Can I use many furs and dryads at the same time?

Yes, but you'll need more sanctuaries than usual.

Sanctuary.

The sanctuaries help to create harmony between the trees of Hauranren and the dryads. The effect of a shrine depends on its material and type.

Nephritis is a particularly good material for the construction of sanctuaries, but nothing compares to an animus stone.

Remember that you need at least one character with a "natural" backstory to build a sanctuary.

Don't have a Royalty add-on? Don't worry, there are stones you can use instead!

If you have the Royalty add-on installed, it will work the same way as the Natural Sanctuary of the same size.

The character can be associated with more than one tree, but only the most powerful trees provide additional benefits.

Instead of filling the map with dryads, the very powerful Gaurulanren tree can increase the dryad's efficiency.

Powerful trees can grow more than just moths of gaurulanren. It can be used to grow haurulanrene flowers, reminiscent of the flowers that dryads bring.

If the tree is powerful enough, some may even become permanent guardians of the tree and its allies. To protect themselves, they can throw spikes of resin at distant enemies, or accurately throw refractory fluids into fire pockets.

Despite its inaccuracies, the plant is perfectly able to prevent accidents associated with fire.

The flower is quite fragile, but after destruction quickly grows back.

Animus stones.

They can usually be bought in tribal settlements (base price is 5000 silver!) or, in rare cases, they can be rewarded for quests; they help to increase the charge of the Gauranlen tree.
