About This Mod

The mod is (to a large extent) inspired by Fluffy's Pharmacist and Uuugggg's Smart Medicine. I express my gratitude to both authors!

Clarification of terminology: In the basic version of the game (and in this fashion), you define not a specific drug to use, but a medical category to adhere to.

The medical category establishes the best permitted medicine and includes any medicine of inferior quality.

To simplify the text and preview, I use these terms interchangeably.

Description:

The main objective of fashion is to minimize the micromanagement of drugs and make the most of expensive drugs, using them only in extreme cases.

New interface in the main tab: You can configure the drug use at different (custom) stages for each suspected abnormality or disease.

Tabs are divided into categories of pawns, such as: colonists, neutral factions, animal colonies, etc.

Each category of pawns contains all possible hediffs, but you have the option to hide those that you do not think should be displayed (for example, animal flu in the category "colonists").

The function of updating the hediff list is available, which allows you to delete obsolete hediffs that are no longer in the game, and add new ones that were not previously in the list (when installing/removing mods).

Settings are saved globally without being bound to specific saves.

There is a small button at the top of the interface, which displays additional explanations when clicked.

The mod setting allows you to hide the tab on the bottom panel. You can also access the mod interface through the mod settings page.

Pest Health tab prescription: You can prescribe a medicine to each desired pawn hediff ("once" or "until the hediff disappears") that will only be applied to this particular pawn and this particular instance of hediff, ignoring the general interface/player settings.

Surgeries: Possibility to specify a drug for surgery and two additional options for choice.

The amount of drugs that a colonist can take with him: Customization is available in the fashion settings.

It is recommended that when you first use fashion, examine the list of improvements to the interface and change the selection of drugs for minor damage, such as bruises, cracks...

Most of the default settings work correctly, and it will be enough to periodically adjust them based on your experience.

So, in theory, you can set all your pawns to "use the best medicine" and not worry about micro-injuries or the misuse of expensive medicines.

If you're using fashion to add new medications, I suggest you take advantage of Aeon's Mod Medicine Patch. I made sure they were compatible.

Performance:

The performance impact can be seen from one of the screenshots.

A 30% increase in treatment procedures may seem significant, but given their rare frequency (compared to 60 taps per second) and low performance requirements, you should not notice any increase.

Overall, a significant performance impact is unlikely. Please indicate if this is not the case (including the specific scenario) so that I can investigate!

Compatibility:

Most likely incompatible with modes changing the logic of care/surgery/caravan drug selection.

For example, Pharmacist, Smart Medicine.

Fashions that change the interface of the pawn health tab can cause software conflicts, which will prevent the ability to manually prescribe drugs (the button is not displayed).

Compatible with PeteTimesSix's Compact Hediffs mod.

Built-in compatibility with Medicine Patch mod.

Add/Remove from Save:

No problems should arise. If you delete a mod, you may see a harmless red error.
