"Beat Your Prisoners" mod
About This Mod
Beat Your Prisoners gives you the opportunity... well, to beat your prisoners to death. You can use this to speed up the recruitment process, improve your melee skills, or simply for personal pleasure.
Adds a new kind of work called "Break". Characters set to "break up" will sometimes beat prisoners marked "Reduce resistance". This would reduce the prisoner's resistance, in addition to the recruitment carried out by the guards.
Prisoners are able to resist based on their character traits and close combat skills. If resistance is offered, the beating will continue until the prisoner is defeated.
If an inmate kills an attacker, there is a 50% chance of an immediate escape from prison, so ensure your fighters are well armed and/or capable to prevent this.
After the beating is complete, the prisoner's resistance will be reduced depending on the pain experienced during the beating, the attacker's persuasive skills, and the personality traits of both the prisoner and the attacker.
Beating prisoners leads to an accumulative fine to the mood of most colonists throughout the colony.
Prisoners will be beaten only in full health, and the attackers will perform no more than 2 beatings in 24 hours.
Basic chance of resistance (checked for each attack received):
(5% + (2% x melee skill))
Characteristic traits that influence beatings:
"A masochist loves beatings, he never resists, and it's easier to 'break' him.
"A weaker penalty means a heavier penalty for the mood from beatings, less chance of resistance, less effective for breaking things, and easier to break.
- A good - more substantial fine to the mood when the prisoner is beaten, less likely to resist, less effective in breaking.
- Scandalist - likes to beat, is more likely to resist, more effective at breaking, it is harder to break.
- Thirst for blood - improves the mood when a prisoner is beaten, likes to beat, is more likely to resist, is more effective in breaking, it is more difficult to break.
- Psychopath - more effective in breaking, it is more difficult to break.
- Strong - harder to break.
Fashion operation requires: Harmony.
