About This Mod

1-2-3 Personalities is the first in a series of social mods based on the idea of modularity, allowing players to choose how deep an immersion experience they want to gain.

Maud makes each colonist unique: he thinks, talks, and acts differently depending on who he is and with whom he interacts. The mod is intended to be a more compatible and less invasive successor to Psychology, which uses game files to add new game mechanics and decision-making.

The first part of fashion gives each pawn a set of traits, using templates and extensive descriptions; M1 can be used as a stand-alone narrative without compromising performance or compatibility.

Animals have simple characters! Animals have simple characters too! Animals give small bonuses, so be sure to disable them in the fashion settings if you really need vanilla balance.

The second part is about whether pawns are similar or different and how this affects their behavior. Pawns either have the same psychological motives (instincts, emotions, thoughts) and cause the effect of Harmonious, or do not have and apply the effect of Distracting.

This affects much of the work the pawns do with other settlers; Vanilla Social Interactions Expanded includes several new great interactions that are needed to trigger all the changes in Module 2.

For example.

Harmonious couples have more stable relationships and are much less likely to have a romantic relationship.

Distracted couples may quarrel more often, but this tension is relieved if they make love more often.

Part 3 is where things get harder. Pawns form a constant opinion of one another according to their character traits and develop friendship or rivalry based on their views on certain topics; if two settlers dislike each other, checking their social media accounts will tell you exactly why. Do they spend days arguing about communism? Or do they disagree about the meaning of life? Or maybe they quarrel every now and then over eating gluten?

There is a database of over 100 serious topics and important categories of life. Each pawn has its own interest in the subject and excitement factor. One colonist may be very interested in politics and usually tries to talk about it. Others never talk about family issues, but react violently when dragged into such topics. Some of the henchmen try to talk about something they know absolutely nothing about, and others it is annoying. Discussions can go in many different directions!

Another consequence of this system is that pawns will behave differently in the presence of people they like or dislike.
