This mod brings historical authenticity to Red Dead Redemption by renaming all in-game weapons to match their actual counterparts.
Replaced weapon names:
- REVOLVER Cattleman Renamed from Cattleman revolver to Colt Single Action Army.
- REVOLVER Schofield Renamed from Schofield Revolver to Smith & Wesson Model 3.
- REVOLVER DoubleAction Renamed from double action revolver to Colt M1892.
- REVOLVER LeMat Renamed from LeMat Revolver to LeMat Percussion Revolver.
- Volcanic GUN Renamed from Volcanic Pistol to Volcanic Repeating Arms Pistol.
- PISTOL Mauser Renamed from Mauser Pistol to Mauser C96.

1.) Download this mod.
2.) Locate the RDR.1 root and navigate to the "game" folder. This can be done in two ways:
¹Open Steam, right-click RDR.1, go to Properties, then Installed Files, and click Browse. Then go to the Game folder.
²Open File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption\game
3.) Back up strings_d11generic.rpf
4.) Replace strings_d11generic.rpf with the one you downloaded.
5.) Start the game.
